Speakers for Rotel receiver

Hi all,

I'm looking for a pair of speakers to pair with my Rotel receiver which have 75x4 and the speakers will be in a 12x12x10 room. My budget is $200 and I don't mind to buy used speakers. Thank you all for your help.

    What Rotel Receiver do you have? 200.00 budget isn't going to get you much especially if you want to hear what your Rotel Receiver can do.

    I'm assuming a Rsx965 or rsx1055 something along those lines unless it's a stereo receiver . I don't know any that are 75 x 4.

    New? TSi....Used? RTi38. That's only based on bookshelf speakers in my head at this second.

    As far as used AND older the world is your oyster and to nail ONE speaker down based on that is tough. I've found SDA SRS for $200 but it doesn't mean you will. I'd look for anything RTi but moreso RTA, like 8 or 11's. SDA's sure but personally I've had my fill of them.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    75 x 4 means ohms??....so you want 4 ohm speakers? All my Rotel stuff will play 8, 6 and 4...I and many love the Polk Monitor 5's, and many can be had from $50 to $125 a pair. I also ran a nice small pair of PSB 300's. Now, I am running the LSi 9's....cheapest will be maybe a shade under $500. I also have run several pairs of Polk Monitor 10's which can be had for under $200 a pair. I did get a nice pair of SDA-2B's from a forum member and they sound great and are fairly efficient.

    With that quality receiver look into a used pair of Lsi7 bookshelf speakers. 200.00 probably will not get it done , but look around it would be a nice match.

    so, it's surround...I have the 1067 and it would drive almost anything....

    how many speakers are you trying to get? get on Craigslist and find something with no shipping costs involved....

    back when I was in my "speakers for 200" phase, I really explored the used market and found some Jems. The Rogers LS6 monitors at this years PolkFest were an example.

    I also remember a beat up pair of Polk RTA12's (with the pearless tweeter) that I believe my boy fireman32 still has. (that was actually like 150)

    they're out there dude.

    that said (and as Doro said), the TSi line is a great budget speaker in the new department

    Lou is spot on.....I've found a ton of $200 speakers, some of which really opened my eyes to real audio and new things. I think we'll have to add this to Cfrizz's list of sayings.....200wpc and $200.

    I think my Rotel receiver is 8 ohm and the LSi7s are 4 ohm. I'm thinking of getting the RTi A1 or maybe move up a little and get the B&W 685. I hope they're not too big for my room.

    B&W 685 is a very nice speaker, I read on other forums, better than the LSi9s, even; they will run around $600 a pair, new, I believe.
