Hey Guys,
What do you think about these two 3D HDTV plasmas.
I looking to get a new TV before Football season starts. I have
narrowed it down to these two models. Both models are about the
same price. Also there's very good deals on the older Panasonic V10
58' models(non-3D).
Are you ready for some Football:)

Check this out from the AV Forum:
I revised my list a bit and took the suggestions for multiplying the values. Here is the modified comparison of the vt25 and the c8000. This may change as I watch the VT25 more. I am also going to be going to someone’s house with a C8000 and doing some more tests as well.

Also look and see if you can find a Pioneer plasma, still best on the market.

Pioneer Plasma may be out of my price range, I'm Looking for a Big display
58' to 65' range. I think that the Kuro Pro 101 50' goes from $2900 to$3500
and the 60' Kuro Pro 141/151 $4500 to $6000 if you can find one:(Linn AV5140 fronts

Heck yeah bro. What can beat 110" HD image. If the application allows, it's worth a look. You can set it up in the living room and still be fine. If your talking sports, movies, etc. nothing can top it bro. Just saying, you may want to consider it.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

They usually don't for the higher end gear. Seen the Panasonic v25 and Samsung 8000/9000 and thought the Panasonic was the best they had in the store. Very nice picture. -

Any issues with the unconfirmed floating blacks I keep reading about on the AVS Forum? How many hours do you have on your G25...it is on my short list of TVs this season... -

I haven't had any problems with the blacks at all. I probably only have 400 hours or so on the set so far. The only problem is that the picture is so good now I want to get another one for the bedroom. :biggrin:My Main Gear

Panasonic Plasma quality starts at the G series. The S series are grainy and not all that good but cheap so worth the money.
The V series is very very good but a waste with 3D. I'm no fan of 3D , when it came out we all played with it and now never push it on anyone. No reason to get anyone excited about 3D. The glasses suck **** from everyone.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -

Not everyones cup of tea, but don't forget the panny V25 does 3d but has an outstanding 2D picture as well. Definitely a step up from the older 2d sets. -
My understanding is that the VT series and G/GT are completely different even when viewing 2D. The VT25 has better video processing as well as a much more advanced anti-glare reflective. The VT25 when turned off has the same purple hue as older Pioneer Elite's use to have. This isn't found on any other Panasonic product from what I've been told and have read or seen.
I believe the G/GT/VT all share the same 'infinite black' technology which is essentially what made Pioneer better in the first place. The ability to take a cell and basically kill it and bring it back to life in real time. Up until this year Panasonic were only able to take their cell structures down to a certain level of cell light or heat. They can get closer to 0 now. Hence the inky blacks.
I'm not sure anybody could have the slightest clues as to what's better in the stores unless the shop has all televisions professionally calibrated. It would be like listening to stereo equipment with one model having the treble all the way up vs another that didn't. -
I definitely am noticing a purple hue from my G25 when it's turned off. The Panny website claims the G series has a more advanced reflective although I don't have anything to compare it to. All I can say is that I calibrated this sucker using settings I found on AVS forum and I couldn't be happier with the picture.

I was at Best Buy yesterday shopping and looked at that Tv. It has a very nice picture but lacks detail in the dark/shaded areas. Maybe not a big deal in your house by itself but, in the store they had a kuro on one side and a v25 series panny on the other you do indeed notice its flaws. The size was amazing.
