Both contestants have heard mine in that bigger space.
I think Madness made his move already anyway. -
I have mine in a 13 foot by 12.7 foot by 8 foot room and that still seems a bit small.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Well, I got 'em in and hooked up. Pheww to think I did all that with an Inguinal Hernia-I must be outta my frickin gourd :eek:--good thing I'm getting that surgically corrected next week--Hoy!!:redface:
After I got them out of the truck, I carefully put the other grill face on and used a small dolly/truck to wheel them around to the walk-in basement--Only had to maneuver down 2 steps; the rest I rolled down on the grass. Ya know what--these are wide effers--Can't roll them thru a doorway ; that was the most difficult part, getting them sideways thru the door, but I did it and put them in my current 2 ch. rig temporarily.
Hastily positioned--I let them warm up a bit then turned on the juice-everything is in working order.:cool:
Been listening for an hour or two now---currently running them from the Odyssey Khartago. I'll tell you one thing, these have some serious dead center imaging. Some songs sounded great but others the soundstage was super compressed--everything was in the dead center--again not all songs but a good number of them---I have a lot of locational and positional tweaking to do on these puppies.
Lou, it was great meeting you and your wife again. I had a great time just hanging out and listening--and again thanks for dinner!! I'll tell ya man, Tom Hanks and Norah Jones go well together--time to put together a music video
Oh yeah thanks for all the help getting them loaded up in the Blazer--they were rock solid and didn't move a bit--although I about sh&# myself when I first turned the truck on--the key triggers the seat memory, repositioning the seat automatically to my preferences--the seat started moving back and I was like 'NOOOOooooooo'... but I caught it just in time --Holy crap man...
Looking forward to sprucing these things up back to top notch shape and getting them located and positioned optimally in the coming months (years??)

Lol!, Thanks FC, tell your Dad he waited too long
. Actually Lou and I worked this out the other day--I was going to pick them up in a few weeks after my Hernia surgery, but today worked out good for both of us, and I figured it'd probably be a better idea to do it before the surgery  ____________________

Hehehe, yep ironically I successfully snuck these beasts in, only this time she knew they were coming, although she wasn't too happy about another set of speakers coming in the house. This morning I asked if she heard me come in and she said she didn't--actually she didn't even hear me playing them last night/this morning either---Ahh Nyquil-I'll have to remember that next time--The best time to sneak speakers in is when she's not feeling too good and doses Nyquil before going to bed
Of course she still has no idea what they look like yet--this outta be interesting :rolleyes:____________________

Mike, you shoulda said something to me. Amazings fit in my truck no problem and I would have had no issue helping you out with them. Say something next time. You're not even 45 minutes away from me. I would have gladly driven to your place, picked you up and boogied on up to Lou's.

Congrats Mike! Glad to see two Polkies (Lou/Mike) hook up on a great deal!
And I empathize...my SDA 2Bs are currently in a closet in the basement because my wife thinks I have too many speakers and she really dislikes the big ONES. So what I do is switch them out. Listen to the pair I have out now for a few months...then box them and roll out the SDAs? I need a house with BIGGER rooms! And your Carvers kind of dwarf my SDAs! lol

yeah you do, those speakers are brutally honest too, not terribly forgiving of shoddy recordings yet reward you greatly with awesome recordings.Lou, it was great meeting you and your wife again. LOL!! I see what you're seeing now-hee hee--its an optical illusions of sorts. Its just an outdoor seat cushion used to pad and secure the speakers in place-it's actually square but the way it was wedged and the pattern on it kinda turned out that way-the 'toungue' is the velcro strap on the back of the cushion that holds it onto the chair. You can see another cushion like that on the right side. Ha what are the odds that that would turn out like that? Awesome :biggrin:____________________

Just a quick pic to show them in their current home. I'm sure theyre way too close to the back and side walls-but I have to try this first to see if they'll even work in this room with the 106" screen.
They're about 8' apart and the seating is about 12' back.
The room is about 14x18'
