I will take a pic of mine tomorrow.
Mine is HUGE! I do have plenty of room but...no holes in the firewall. I can make a video of my install and post it on youtube tomorrow sometime I think.

    Terminal Cup.

Sounds about good aside from the bracing...which I am not sure what I want to do for that portion yet...still researching.

    Damn, 5 bucks.

My terminal cup on my sub has the cheap plastic binding posts but it works since I have locking naners on my speaker wire.

I doubt you'll need to worry about bracing, but I would feel uneasy about having a tube 10" long just stretched out in my box without being secured to anything else....maybe creating something along the lines of a hangar like you would for an exhaust pipe?

What car is this all going into exactly?

Is it the one that was neglected by the previous owner, or was that someone else?

It is going to be screwed down, I think it would be fine. If needed I can always put a few more screws....you know?
Anyway. The subwoofer and all of that is made to be easily put in a trunk of almost any vehicle. Most of them have trunks that are 2.5 feet wide....you know? Anyway...
All of it will be removed for the new car. For the moment though it is going in my Buick....the one that was neglected by its previous owner that I have had to nurse back to health with tons of new parts.

I could always make the bracing to support the port tube somehow.... You know?
Anyway the sub will be on the front and the port tube will be on the top....

Yeah, come to think of it it should. The port I ran was 17" long, you should be fine just **** it in since it's much shorter.

Poor Buick :( least it'll have a kickin' system soon enough!

    Sweet, something to check out.

Do you know what new car you have in mind? Some of them have funky stock headunits that, well will require a custom bezel or something if putting in a different HU

    Oh really?

What HU? I need one with TA :o

My Sony deck gets by, but it's nothing to complain about since I don't even have upgraded speakers up front just yet. Wanting to get components and amplify them with my extra 2-channel Kenwood I've got here laying around.

After that's said and done, then I'll check out an HU.

Can't do that just yet, at least not for this.

Speakers will have to come in first though. Mole said he's got some he can toss my way, figured I'd use those and save a bit more for better components and after some more research.

Here's my deck, and the kenwood amp I'll use to power the component speaks up front (old JL Audio that was in the Focus, I've had 2 or 3 different types).

Attached small pics this time. Didn't want to clog up your thread with a bunch of my pics haha.

I have a coupon code from Amazon that can save you 45% off any infinity or JBL products that Amazon sells....
I can toss that your way if you'd like?

Um....I guess it is no longer available for purchase? Even though I just bought one like....on Friday morning....??

Anyway.... I think it is just because you have to wait for a new shipment. That is what I had to do....I waited about....2 weeks and they got 1 in...I reserved it...chat with a customer rep and they can set you up with one.
Those are the ones that get sent in for repair....they get a 90 warrenty....that is it though.

They are probably a lot better than the ones I had. I am going from 1 volt per channel to 4 volts per channel....that is a HUGE boost. The next highest was a JVC Arsenal 815 with 6 preamps that are 5 volts each....but that was twice the price.

Plus the kenwood has a built in DAC, no bluetooth though, but that is okay. It should give me a great sound none the less. And get rid of my ground noise :D

I had a Pioneer 2100IB I do believe it was called.

Yeah, that is going to be what I miss most. Is that battery. Oh well, i can buy one of those bigger ones...shurikan or kenetic...
I should have took a photo of where the negative bolts to the chassis....how corroded that is...It is almost like a white lolly pop with a flexible stick....
    Mmmm corrosion....yummy.

Oh well. Getting that inspection on the 1st. Slapping a 4-sale sign on the second. It rides smooth though, like a Cadillac not that you would believe me. I hardly feel bumps on the road at all.

Yeah that sucks you can not keep the battery, oh well the kenetic or shuirkan well be just as good.

You said the car was a Buick right? As far as I know, and have heard; Buicks have always been a pretty smooth ride. In fact had a firend who had one, and it road like an old cadillac, kind of like a boat. Almost feels like you floating. Easy on the bumps, and smooth ride.

Yeah, buicks are like the poor mans Cadillac haha. They are very relaible though, my father had a buick something or other that lasted him 12 years...
It does run nice when it wants to. I went out to see a Mustang GT 5.0....almost bought it but the rust was just as bad as mine. Maybe worse, plus the engine reaked of an oil leak....The guy went from 2k firm, down to 1.2k when I left. He knew just as much as I did that the car had rust problems haha. Plus it was a 1989...so it was older than mine

Oh well, I really want a Hyundai Tiburon, may wait until one of those pops up...

What would you get? Any used car with a budget of around 5k.
Oh, i ment to take a photo of the corosion but I forgot.

Well I am a truck kind of person. If I had to choose betweent the two I would probably go with Mustang (not the biggest fan of mustangs), because if you need parts, you would be able to find them alot easier, and there are alot of parts for mustangs in general.

My best suggestion is to look at the pro's and con's. Also take into account that if you need to repair something, how readily available are the pars, and how expensive are they if you were to do it yourself? I would have to say that you want a car that has alot of parts on the market, and can be easily found, and fixed for a fair price.

Not to sure if there are alot of parts for the Tiburon out there, and if there are I bet since the car is not made anymore (I think..??) the parts are going to be super expensive.

    Thanks.

Yes, true. The parts issue is a very nice concern. The issue with a truck is the gas mileage. I would love one, but am not sure if I am up to the gas cost.
