Nothing to be sorry about. Call it synergy or whatever you want. It is fine not to hear a difference. ;)

Wonder if Gavin :D;)will send me some Magnum to test out.......I know one member who preferred the Shotgun over the Magnum and sent them back, over the past few years as I made some rig component/speaker improvements I have pretty much let the MIT cables stand pat, sounds great, but I am beginning to wonder if my cabling is now lagging a bit........

anyway, great to see reviews, interesting that phuz liked the Terminator/Shotgun combo demo we did before better than the current demo set, of course that is what it is about getting your ears on things.

From now, you're looking at ~2 years before your turn comes up, so if you stick around, I doubt it will be a problem.:D

Ok I would like to thank Gavin and MIT for making this possible. My system consist of Carver Amazing speakers, Halo A23 amp, Conrad Johnson PV-5 pre amp, source Pioneer DV-AVi79 universal CD/DVD player. I own MIT Shotgun S2 interconnects now, and quickly found out it's not best to mix MIT cables lines as the sound is strange at best. Using the Demo cables I found the sound is best to have all MIT cables in the system interconnects, speakers wire and to keep them in the same line. Without getting to wordy as many know I'm no writer, I enjoyed them, would buy them, and above all open my eyes, ears, and wallet once again :( In short these cables do it all given you everything in sound from the the bass, mids, and highs. There's no cable I believe comes even close to MIT cables in sound.

I just got finished packing up the box and I'm shipping these out to Ben on Monday (MillerlightScott passed).

REVIEW: It was nice to finally get my hands and ears on some MIT Cables. I was initially very impressed with how thick the speaker cables were. Very solid build. The boxes took awhile to get used to. The are a bit bulky.

I first tried out the IC's and kept my PNF Symphony speaker cables in place. The difference was so subtle that I couldn't tell which I liked better, so a couple days later, I decided to install the speaker cables in as well. I immediately noticed a decrease in dynamics and the highs seemed a tad rolled off. They didn't have quite the same sparkle as the PNF's. I tried them for over a week and was relieved to get my PNF's back in my system. The PNF's just sounded more expanded, dynamic and more alive sounding.

I know how crucial system synergy is with cables, so in the right system these could be perfect. I'd certainly be interested in trying out the Shotgun series.

A BIG Thanks to MIT, Gavin, and Ricardo for making this possible.

Nice concise write up. It's nice to see a review where one's cable sounded different or better in one's viewpoint. I'm wondering if you would have left the MITs in longer if you got accustomed to their house sound if you would have changed your mind? It seems you like a livelier sound from your rig. Great Stuff Bro.

Thanks for the review Ernie. MIT's are not for everyone, and not all MIT's are the same. Based on your comments, I don't think the Shotguns would be a good fit for you either. Just enjoy what you have and be happy you didn't like the MIT's better. ;)

That's a good question. Mind you the sound wasn't bad, I could easily live with these cables. Maybe I'm just used to a more forward sound and these cables were more nuetral.

I really enjoy getting more experience with different cables. Fun hobby! :D

Having never heard this particular model of MITs I am wondering; did you notice an improvement or lack of in the holographic 3D presentation? That was the first thing I noticed improved when I put the Shotgun S3s in my rig.
