Who's next? I need an addy.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

    Gear
    Adcom GFA 565's and a 545.
    Grounded Grid tube pre
    active XO
    Modded Denon 2900
    Custom SDA's

Well first impression I thought that the speaker cables were better by a fair margin. The IC's I used my Silvers and swapped in the MIT's. I liked my silvers more as did Jerry. Latter that week I received the power cables. To my surprise the PC's made the biggest difference. The MIT's speaker cables still beat the AQ's, but the gap was tightened up a lot. All in all this was a fun learning experience. You gotta have a system with no weak links was the big lesson here. For me it was the power cables. I made a pair right after I heard McLoki's.
    Thanks much.

    Hi guys,

I haven't been on the site in a while and just thought I'd check in. I'm glad the demo is still going and that you seem to be enjoying yourselves.

Kudos to Club Polk for keeping this alive.

Very sorry for the delay everyone - what can I say but "life has gotten in the way again" Anyway - Thank you for being so patient with me and a review will be coming this weekend (I mean it this time). The cords are ready to be shipped out to the next in line -

TNRabbit and Las - please send me your shipping info. Assuming I hear from TNRabbit by end of day Monday - the cords will ship to him Tuesday morning (with a tracking number). If not - I will ship them to Las and he can ship to TNRabbit.

Once again sorry for the delay and thank you for the opportunity - The demo will continue with the next person within a week.

Cables were sent with signature required (as specified in post 1) and they were not signed for so they are shipping back to me.

Since I shipped them from work, they now have to filter through the 15,000 (literally) people that I work with to make it back to my desk. (to be honest - this may be a big deal or may not - I have never shipped anything from work and had it come back to me before so I don't know their process) - I will let everyone know when they finally make it back to me and figure out what to do from there...

Just wanted to keep everyone aware of what is going on.

    Michael--I sent you three PMs.

My apologies for this. I thought this was a check that State Farm had sent me (it was listed as coming from State Farm...??).

I work long days & I tried to arrange with UPS to collect this package but they wouldn't honor their website policy of signing the back of the package alert form because they were required to hand it to a PERSON when it was signed for. Since they only specified they'd come SOME TIME between xx a.m. and xx p.m., I was never home when they came.

The UPS collection point is over an hour away from where I live so I was never able to make it there in time to pick it up directly. You can just remove me from the list as I'm not going through this again.

Again, my apologies to all for delaying the process.

    :(

No worries - I just wanted everyone to know that your start date has not really started yet.... :) I got your PM's. We can talk to Ricardo and see if it can be sent without the signature required. (since they are not my cables - I can't make that call)

Anyway - it may take awhile before they make it back to me and I will let everyone know when they do.

Life happens - take a breath and let it go... ;)

Michael, please send them to the next in line once you get them back. Confirm via PM address and that someone will be there to sign. Let me know how much you have to pay and I will send you the money.

I can't believe people fall for this IC BS and the optical, that is funny.I would like to see a pepsi challenge. The few blind tests found on the enet revealed that people could not tell the difference when using high priced ic's or cables. Yes under certain circumstances you may need better sheilding (if you lived next store to a radio station).oxegen free copper my **** .And clearly the optical is a scam. thats right I said it a scam .1's and 0's passed along to it meets modulation. all dac's or one box cd players use error correction like reed solomon.Impossible for sure that there is a difference in digital transfer. Explain this MIT

This is a friendly and basically free offer by a Polkie to other members that would like to try something new and formulate their own opinion. Whether the result is positive or negative is entirely welcome here but only to the participants. If you strongly disagree, then take it offline or to another forum.

If all you're going to do is drop by and crash this thread, you will be removed from this area of the forum. Be constructive.

To CP members....don't start getting into a match, it's not worth it and it clutters up the thread.

    Thanks for understanding.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Ok - Cables finally made it back to my desk late last week. We will get this show back on the road early next week.

Sal, Your up. You should have them by next weekend I would think. I will send a tracking number as soon as they are on the way. (first day back at work is Tuesday and that is when I will ship them.)

    Sorry for the derail everyone.
