Blue board 750's were made in America, and the other 750's were made overseas(not sure where exactly).
I've looked into this myself, and that's the only difference that I'm aware of.
From what I understand, there isn't any real sonic difference between the two. Some people have claimed that the build quality of the blue board units is slightly better. The nirvana inducer-

from what I read and heard this was it. There was a guy selling one on audiogon and I inquired about it because he said the blue boards are worth more, but never really gave a reason why, just that it was made in the USA compared to china is the only reason why he said. -
Raised from the dead....
Both those pictures up top are of the blue board. They were American made with nice ALPS pots for the volume and balance controls. The red board models were just that, completely red and made overseas. The problem with the red board models is they use crappy pots with a large amount of 'play' or wiggle, definately not ALPS. I know this first hand because I ordered one of the red board units new and returned it soon after only to buy a blue board version on Audiogon. -
Thanks!!! Now we are in the know..

If I was the fortunate owner of one of these I would want to upgrade those cheap looking film caps they use for input and output coupling.

Tell me more? There is a thread on DIY Audio, but it's hard to follow. The guy replaced all the caps. I'm going to be ordering some coupling caps shortly for my Norh tube integrated. If you could point in the right direction on the Adcom with a few suggestions.

Brock I only see an X.
I guess when you link a photo from a site one has to sign into, no one can see it unless they are signed in. Try this."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Ok I see that.I found a schematic on your first link and it appears coupling is actually done with a cheap electrolytic bypassed with a cheap film.

Yes he removed the stock film bypasses and replaced the 'lytics' with Black Gates which are now unobtainium.
I think some ELNA Cerafine's might work nicely there. What do you think?"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Or maybe some nice Obbligato's or Mundorf's.......I guess we don't want 'lytics in there."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Well since the output caps (4 needed) are 100uf a film cap would be prohibitively large and expensive,so a premium lytic might be the realistic choice. The Cerafines would certainly be good but having recently tried a pair in a DAC project I would try to source some Sanyo OScons. As for the 10uf input caps I would look at maybe trying the Panny ECQ's film's if they will fit in the alotted board space .While inexpensive they are quite good for coupling purposes and I believe Pass used them in the Aleph P(atleast it appeared so in the pic I saw of the inards.)
