I purchased an I-Sonic ES2 in December, everything was fine even after applying the latest firmware. About 2 weeks ago, the ES2 stopped charging my IPOD Touch. Everything else appears to be working fine and the IPOD plays without issue. It just won't charge. I have treid 3 different ipods without any luck. I have searched the net and can not seemt to fond anyone else complaining about this problem. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas? :(

Give Polk customer service a call on Monday. You'll get much quicker service calling them, than you will on here.

Their number is at the top right hand side of this very page.:)

Did you purchase it new? Is it still under warranty?

Thanks I was planning on doing that and was hoping there was some remote chance that I could avoid having to box this up and send out for repair. Their quality is not what it used to be.... Purchased new & still under warranty but still a hassle. I had major problems with my sub and now this. Granted, Polk took care of the problem but once again I am encountering additional expense post sale. I'll see how this turns out but I think I'm done with Polk.

If you haven't already, try unplugging the unit for a few minutes, then plug it back in. May or may not resolve the problem, but it's worth a shot and has solved a few problems I've had with the two units I have. Polk can also send out a firmware update in the mail free of charge.

This is an issue caused buy Apple. They require a special chip be added to docks and accessories to enable charging on the Touch and iPhone. I've seen it referred to as an "Apple Tax" by some people. With the upgraded firmware to the Touch, Apple must have added some code to look for a certain version of said chip or, unfortunately, disable charging. Call up Polk and see if there is an updated IES firmware to fix this issue.

Might be something wrong with the I-Sonic unit, I've seen this only once before when the unit stops charging the iPod. Please give us a call at your convenience :)

I-sonic was sent back to Polk and received by them on 5/7. A replacement unit was sent to me and received today. The IPOD dock charging works great but I get no sound from the speakers. I called Polk and a new unit is being sent out to me today and they provided me with a UPS label for return of the defective unit. I'll keep you posted...

I received the new Polk unit today and everything is working. One thing for sure is that Polk stands behind their stuff and provides excellent customer service. :)
