I am going to be getting a 7.2 system setup soon and was thinking about ceiling speakers as my surrounds. I will have 2 rears just to the left and right, but my living room setup will not allow wall mount or floor mount for the surrounds. Any suggestions on ceiling speaker type or anything else is appreciated.

In ceiling speakers make excellent surround speakers. I do them all the time with excellent results.
Tell my what the rest of your speakers are and I can tell you exactly what in ceilings to use. Also what you are going to power them with.

I currently have a Onkyo 6.1 amp but have a new tx-sr608 7.2 onkyo on order. I have a set of polk rm7600 series speakers probably about 6 years old that are in great shape and and also still sound good. I was looking to put the ceiling speakers as the left and right wides on the new system, partly because the way the living room is there is a wall on one side and none on the other. I was thinking about the RC60i? What do you think?

    Thanks,
