Hi all...

I was in a pretty bad car accident yesterday. Lady pulled across two lanes of traffic and I hit her going about 30 mph. I spent 6 hours in the hospital, and am screwed up. My knee has damage - going to see a surgeon tomorrow...and other various medical problems, some serious, and bumps and bruises. Keep me in your thoughts today. At least I get to stay home and listen to some tunes!

That's terrible...hope there's nothing too badly damaged. Hope for a quick recovery.

I, myself, was almost wiped out by a drunk on I-78 almost two decades ago. Car was totaled, cheekbone broken in two places (surgeon did a wonderful job there...undetectable).

Take care, we'll keep you in our thoughts. You'll bounce back.

God bless and keep you. You didn't mention if the other driver was alright and any other injuries. Accidents like that are really difficult to deal with for days to come. Reach out to family and friends..

That awful James. We'll pray for a speedy recovery. Be careful bro. Some injuries don't show up until a later date so be aware of your body's signs that there is something wrong.

When I got hit by a car, I thought the bruise on my leg was the only injury. As time went by I started having knee, hip and back problems from being twisted around when hit.

30mph doesn't sound like much, but it is very serious. Until recently (with the advent of crush zones, airbags, etc), a 35 mph crash into an immovable object would be unsurvivable for front seat occupants.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

I got hit under 10 mph and you wouldn't believe the damage. Car vs human flesh, the flesh always looses no matter how fast the vehicle was going.

    Thanks all...

The lady was pulling out of a school with her two kids in the car...you'd think she'd be more careful. Anyway, she was in the same hospital and left before me, so I'm guessing she's okay. My wife said the kids didn't look harmed...they were running around the hospital...so it definetily could have been worse! Thanks for all the well wishes!

Doug's right on with this. I'm embroiled in a lawsuit from getting hit by a car and posted it here and am now shitting myself that the other party might find it and use it against me.
