I don't think it looks bad but I don't think it looks good either. At least it's proportioned well and not like the Aztec. That looked like someone too a Pontiac Grand Am Matchbox car and "improved" by building a LEGO car on top of it.
I think it's going to have a niche market or fail miserably like the Edsel or the Asstek.

You don't think that looks bad? I think it's hideous. Even the Cube is better looking. Good God.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

At least they have the guts to try something new. Detroit hasn't had any imagination or passion in their designs for three decades now. I think you are right and wrong. Detroit is / has been lacking, but all that's resulted in is nothing for Japan to copy, so this is their creative form displayed. I'm liking the retro theme in general with Detroit, I'm just glad the 90's 'bar of used soap' look is over.

I dont think that it looks that bad. It looks similar to the Nissan Marano. The maano has been out for a while so I am guessing it is a decent seller.Front - RTiA5's

The general shape with the side flares and everything are certainly reminiscent of the Murano, and not at all ugly. But that front end! Those bug lights on the hood, and the tubular headlights... wtf!If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
it's ok.. i don't think I would buy one. but I'm sure this car is aimed at people younger than me though.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I'm OK with the style, but agree it's not great. Nobody bought a mini-van to be stylish, so depending on target market, style may not be a primary driver of sales.DKG999

I drive a cube and wouldnt buy that for the same price. I dont think it will be a big seller. While the cube's looks is an aquired taste, there is a reason for the look, and that is interior room/utility in a small gas efficient package (with other design points like the round windows and asymetrical exterior to make it something more than just a box). that makes the cube a win for me, this car is just a wierd looking car to me
though, it might lure away some Kia Soul potential customers? The soul to me has a tiny interior, especially compared to the cube.Living Room 2 Channel -

Incidentally, I wonder if that is on the Versa platform like the cube is. makes sense to milk that platform for all it's worth, as it is a brilliant subcompact platform.Living Room 2 Channel -

Something a little less "radical" with the headlights would have been nicer.....I personally would not be interested in this vehicle for purchase.Polk Audio Surround Bar 360

Are those the turn signals on top of the hood/fenders? Wouldnt those be a little bright and a hazard for the driver when driving at night? They look like they would be flashing right in your eyes.

It's built on Nissan's B platform which is their only current sub-compact platform. So anything small is built on it including the Cube and Versa as well as several Dacia and Renault models.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

It looks to me like the tried to mate a mini with a suv... producing horrible **** offspring. Perhaps they should call it the Mordred?

Is it going to be a production model or is this a prototype ? Why are the headlights on top of the hood / fender area? Strange design. Funny I kinda sorta like it. LOLDan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
The headlights definitely detract from the overall styling, and as mentioned before, those light things on the hood are just really strange and off-putting. The rest of the exterior takes enough styling cues from the Murano ( which I've always thought was a great look) to make it work for me. A quick redesign on that front end would cure the negatives I see.
-
The fog lights are where normal headlights should be, they're very high up. Maybe it's a land and water vehicle.:)
I've seen alot worse. -

I've seen alot worse.
I think those eyes ARE the headlights, and the top pods are the blinkers and maybe extra driving lights.
I like the general shape and proportions. The tail is all right, but the front is definitely something to get used to.
