I bought this quad about 3 months ago and they have about 200 hours on them at most.

I have tested them on my Sencore and they are pass short and gas test, emissions read on all and both grids the same at 103.

I believe they were made by Siemens even though they say made in USA. All come with nice RCA box's.

The etched codes on all read

942

7L9
*9I
USA

$125 shipped and PP. Sold my Athem Pre 2L and no longer can use 6922 tubes.

I should add that these RCAs bested Amperex 6DJ8s I had in the Anthem. Very sweet sounding tubes.

Hopefully some of the seasoned tube guys can verify these were made by Seimens. I do not believe RCA ever made their own 6922s. Amperex and Seimens made RCA 6922 tubes for them.

I am not sure about this but.....IF you can swap these out with 12au7's in the Anthem1 tube amp? I'm game and consider these sold.

If not, carry on and I apologize about the disruption of the thread.

Are these actually made in West Germany then even though they say "made in USA" on them? As far as I know Siemens didn't make any tubes in the USA, but I could be wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Tracy, Why'd you sell the 2L? I might be interested in these. My 2L still has the factory originals.

I understand that, but I am wondering if these tubes are actually made in the US or Germany? I know that Siemens made tubes in Germany for RCA, but was not aware that they were labeled made in USA. Also, do these tubes have gray divider plates or the shiny silver ones? Couldn't tell from the pictures. Thanks again.

Greg, not sure what to tell you. Hopefully the etched codes will help you.

What and where are the divider plates ?

The codes are what's throwing me actually. The codes on the Siemens labeled E88CCs have the codes on the getter support and is usually something like :A2 over 9L (or something similar). These codes don't seem like Siemens normal codes and are certainly not found in the normal Siemens spot. These codes are more like Amperex codes.

The divider plate also refered to as a "shield" is the thing that is just below where the code is etched into in the picture below. I believe these RCAs are made by Amperex, the more I think about it.

I need to charge the battery in the camera but until then, if you are referring to the plate in the picture with arrow it is grey not silver IMO.

This is where the "shield" is located. But, as I said I believe these are made by Amperex, and may not have this shield. The * is the code as well as the length of the code are the givaways.

I would like to buy a quad of Siemens 1965 or earlier 6922s, hence the questions about the build of them. I already own some Amperex's and I believe that's what these are (although these are the US made ones and mine are Holland). These are still very good tubes and are considered some of the best out of the 6922 bunch. If anyone else knows I'd appreciate it.
