Are NXG speakers any good? Newbee..

Looking to make my bedroom into a AV room and will be installing ceiling speakers for the fronts and surrounds. Looking spend $200 for the set of four, on a budget and wife does not want see the speakers hanging on the wall or on the floor. NXG speakers seem to be fit based on the budget and the Radio Shack seems to have them on sell. Are they worth anything or should i look elsewhere knowing my limited funds. Thanks for the help.     I have Installed them in a multiroom job where the customer just wanted back ground music and nothing expensive. We spec'd these in and they did ok. We used a different model which had a back can on it for better sound quality and bass reproduction. I forget the model number.

    For the money they are ok

    I can't comment on the speakers you linked to, but I used to have the 120w 6.5" pro models as rear surounds in my old house. They fit the bill because the house was prewired. i have no complaints. The NXG brand used to be whole sellers only. I see they are being picked up by Ratshack now. For your budget you probably won't be able to do too much better. What other equipment will be used in this A/V room?

    Actually, I ended up ordering monoprice ceiling 8” angled and 8” rears plus their in-wall center. Total to the door about $220 for all five. I understand quaintly aspects compared to higher dollar ones but will try to get the most out of them. “mdf” box in ceiling but not sure on the center just yet. The monoprice speakers get okay reviews on the AVS forum and again, going for a budget set up. Does anybody have experience with these? I will post an update once installed...
