Here's a private fetish I have, exposed only here on CP, once a speaker has been on the left or right side, I always keep them that way....why? 'cause I'm wierd.

Forgot to mention that my wife didn't take to my suggestion that it was critical we move all of our living room furniture around into different positions in order to more accurately accommodate the "sweet spot".

I sat and schemed a bit. Ended up getting myself a super plush and collapsible zero gravity lounger. Now I set up camp in the sweet spot at my leisure. When I am done, I simply fold up camp and put everything away until my next session....

Yes, and along with the many great things mentioned before let's not forget all the SDA owners out there. I, for one use a laser, tape measure and a level to make sure that my SDAs are in "perfect alignment" vertically, horizontally, and distance to me and each other. The next time I do an alignment I will take picutres and maybe you can tell me if I am certifiable.:D

Well next year when she turns 13 you'll need a BIG ole baseball bat by the front door to greet all the horny little **** that will be banging on your door. Just answer the door holding the bat resting on your shoulder . . . they'll get the message.

Funny story. I have a friend who is over 6' tall and weighs about 300 lbs of solid muscle. He has two absolutely beautiful daughters. When they got into their teens, he bought a big Greg Luzinski bat and put it by the door. Now you would think with his imposing figure that would be enough! Nope, I witnessed him answering the door, with the bat on his shoulder, not saying a word, but with a big smile on his face. Not only didn't the girls get in trouble but when the boys would come to the door again they would say, "good evening Mr. Gaver, may I see speak to 'so and so' Sir?" LOL!!!

    - along the lines of the Pottery Barn end tables, use "Lack" end tables from Ikea

I'm having the same problem Ric except mine is my wife has my audio room completely cluttered with Christmas decorations that we haven't been able to move out to the shed because of all the rain and snow has blocked the way to the shed with a lake of water.

She keeps telling me to just clear a spot on my listening position and listen to music . . . she doesn't get it. There's boxes in front of the speakers, boxes, bags and the Christmas tree all over the room. When I tell her everything is going to mess up the sound and it will just frustrate me, she just rolls her eyes and says, "you're a nut."

Oh yeah and I forgot, she took all my DIY room treatments and piled them in a heap over some of my records!:mad:

Gotcha. There used to be a place in North GA called the Pottery Barn. I heard they went out of business shortly after I moved to South GA, so I was kind of surprised to here the name. I don't guess I should be that surprised, it seems like that should be a fairly common name for that type of business.

I don't know if the national retail Pottery Barns are related to the one that used to be in Commerce GA or not. I do know that the founder and longtime owner of that Pottery Barn was a local Northeast Ga gentlemen who apparently shut it down when he retired and the family was disinterested in running the business. It was a huge, stand alone store that you could probably fit a football field or two under. It would be interesting to know wether the national chain stores were somehow related to this one, but given the fact that you don't see any pottery barns in the south in malls, outlets and shopping centers, I'm guessing not.

Oops, I just did a search and apparently Pottery Barns are located all over the South also. I'm going to have to research this a bit.

Anyone remember the Seinfeld episode where Kramer is pist off because of all the Pottery Barn catalogs that he keeps getting in the mail? He bring an armfull of the catalogs to the PB, opens the door, screams, "you like sending out catalogs, well how do you like getting them back," an slams them on the floor.
