I am going to procure Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 9000. One of my old colleagues happened to visit their HQ some time back and he can’t stop praising this masterpiece!

A Nakamichi Dragon cassette deck which will be usefull for recording the occasional song and concert on cable then transferring to the computer for future use.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Picked up a nice NAD 3140 from the original owner yesterday. Left channel intermittent and sounding generally lousy. Price $25.

Two hours of cleaning pots, switches, boards, panels; re-soldered a few bad joints, adjusted offset and bias. Now working great. Best part, the power supply was already re-built back in 2005, so the caps are all fairly new.

I'm going to use this to replace my trusty Radio Shack (Accurian) amp to drive my PC/Headphone rig. Since the NAD has a good phono output, I can use my Little Dot somewhere else now. Oh, and it sounds sooo much better than the Accurian. Authoritative bass now and much lower noise floor. Oh, and it also has a great little built in phono stage, so I can pack away or sell my DB-8 now. Much cleaner appearance on my desktop as well.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Very nice. Is that a hybrid? I googled it and can't find an answer to my question.

It just a beefy dual mono integrated. (250w/ch) No tubes though. I was looking at one a few years back, but decided to go in a different direction.

    Thanks!

    As billbillw said, dual mono.

I did my homework and it promises to be a really good match w/ my B&Ws.

Should find out this weekend after I get it....:D

Well it's not a "toy" , but our recent snorkeling trip to Akumal, and if all goes to plan I'll be in San Diego on the 5 April to the 7 then in L.A from the 7 to the 10th. My wife is going on business and I'm going along for fun. I did buy a fantastic bottle of tequila when I was in Mexico. I can't remember the name as it's in the suitcase that just arrived 3 days later(thanks United).;)
I will be in the market for a new dig cam as my underwater Olympus died during our trip (lcd screen no longer works).

I don't remember. It was a few years back. I've probably gone a few different directions since then. ;) Parasound combo, then my current Acurus combo, NAD side track in there somewhere. Basically, the MF was too much @ the time.

Well, for the first time in all of my hundreds of times buying and selling, this one never showed up. USPS says it was delivered and I have yet to see it. He had delivery confirmation and insurance so all is not lost but I still hate the fact that this happened. I was looking forward to hearing it.

I'm on my way up there in just a few moments to figure out what's up. I'm not expecting anything but bad news, unfortunately as they go off the same computer me, the seller and everybody else who follows the tracking number does.
