On! I just pulled 3 test tubes, 2 rocks and 1 civil war replica musket ball out of my ports on my lsi9s. My daughter (3y/o) did a good job too she got all 4 ports. Good thing she put the test tubes in 1st so nothing could fall in. She is cute so I will forgive her, but now i run grills on.

I generally run my SDA's with the grills off. They just have a slightly more "open" quality to them when the grills are off.

I must be in the minority, but I like grills on. No kids, but a big dog, and he has never even sniffed them. I like the look, I guess. More refined look maybe? Although, I could not tolerate a single snag....would be an immediate "re-grill". My original S10s and Monitor 10s have original grills and are perfect. My other Monitor 10s were re-done by a previous owner.

Speakers are like women. If they are hot, then you prefer them with their clothes off. If they are not, then you'd prefer for them to keep their clothes on. ;)

I've got a 2 year old and a 6 year old, so grills on, just to play it safe. And let's face it, when we're playing ball tag or having a nerf dart gun fight, I'd probably be the one that blasts a tweeter concave...

Two cats in the place, grills off. I find that with the grills ON, they're more likely to scratch. They leave them alone if the grills are off.

Though the smaller one likes to try to fish around in the ports to see if she can find anything. It's pretty funny.

I have a 6 year old too. Not sure who it belongs to though, so I leave my grills on.

(Just kidding... no kids. But I do like the way my speakers look with grills, and that's the way they were EQ'd.)

they look sooo much "cooler" sans grills...but i'm scared. i have two cats too...never thought about them clawing the grills. maybe now i can justify (in my own crazy mind) taking them off bc of the cats...yeah...thats it...the cats made me do it
