    I enjoy the show...hope Andy gets better soon...should have spelt it Spattercus.

    Tonight's ep was pretty darned good. The story is taking shape and the acting is getting better. I'm on board for the full boat this season and hopefully Sparty (Andy Whitfield) recovers with no ill effects and S2 gets underway. Not sure how long he'll be out. It could delay things indefinitely if he's got to go a round of kemo. Michael C Hall of Dexter had the same thing happen to him at the end of last season, but is recovering I'm told.

    My favorite show on Tv right now. The season ender was everything I wanted. Now on to Rome , the adventure should be interesting to say the least.

    I'm re watching it on netflix and getting more out of the story . A few holes I found the first time around are now being filled in.

    Love this show! I didnt have Starz but I have netflix and just found it streaming online.
    Im hooked! Watched 3 episodes today so far!

    season 1, I can not wait for season 2! Might have to buy starz for a bit to watch it.

    No need to get starz if you have netflix. They streamed the new episodes on the same day.
    They are actually filming a 6 episode prequal right now. Not sure when it will air. Also think I saw some were Spartacus has recovered from treatments and filming on season 2 should start in the near future.
    The blureay of season one comes out in Sept. and has some added stuff inluding 4 extended episodes.

    I believe the prequel mini-season (6 eps) airs in October with the 2nd season airing in January.

    Back to the thread.... For me, the show started out slow but gained steam and turned into a really great show. To be fair, I think I was comparing it to "Rome the series" and that was not fair of me.

    They are actually doing a season 2, but b/c of Andy's lymphoma, they're putting out a smaller season and doing a prequel to season 1, focusing on the house of Batiatus before Crixus's time, and working back to present.

    Apparently Sparatacus will appear only in little tid bits during season 2.

    What bloody fun this series is!

    You just gotta love a show that has a season ending episode that's titled "Kill Them All"

    I just don't know who there going get to play Spartacus, But then again they may just say "That it were done" and drop the show. :(

    I don't think he's dying or anything gim. The last I read, he was responding well to treatment.

    But agreed, how could they possibly cast anyone else here!!

    He's out for S2...cancer came back. The showrunners are looking for a replacment. That's going to be tough for it to work as well as S1. Andy is a pretty visceral guy and a fine actor. If the new guy doesn't have the look or the chops, the series will fade.

    The news of finding a new spartacus is a big let down, this was one of the best shows on tv. Atleast we got to enjoy 13 great episodes.. Hopefully his cancer will be treated again and they will delay the season for him to continue...

    Hope spartacus will heal up so this show can continue. Im glad they decided to tell some back story to fill the fans interest.

    What about Karl Urban (Red, Star Trek (2009), The Bourne Supremacy, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - To name a few) if Andy can't come back. Just a thought.

    They sent 3 guys down to do screen tests in NZ and it was a no go (though they did put a hold on one of them). They are still looking, but also said, that if they can't find the right guy, then they might pull the plug. Filling Sparty's sandals ain't easy. Got to have the look and the chops or it won't work. Andy was Spartacus.
