Getting ready to say goodbye.
I am glad that it's going to a good home though! I threw in a couple of extra pairs of tubes for the preamp. They're nothing special (a pair of Groove Tubes and another pair of no name brand), but at least it will give you the chance to tube roll through four pairs to hear the differences. Personally, I like the Amperex Orange Globes with the Bugle Boys being a close second.
As far as the amp is concerned, I like the 6CA7 (EL34) power tubes with the GE 7044 driver tubes.

I got up this morning and got a wild hair up my **** and took the Dodd equipment downstairs, and disconnected my RTiA9's from my SC-07 and XPA-3, and hooked them up with the Sony SACD player I got from Eric a couple weeks ago.
I just pulled what I had in the closet as far as cables go. some Audio Magic speaker cables, and some Audioquest DB IC's,Put in Godsmack the otherside (SACD) and have been sitting here in awe as to how good the A9's sound with tubes..
I will leave this hooked up for a few hours before I take it all upstairs to the 2 channel rig. hell I would leave it like this all day but we watch movies on saturday nights..
Thanks again Blake!!! It's nice to have some tubes in the house..
