Just curious what CP members run for their sub cable?

AQ?
MIT?
Cardas?
Signal?
Kimber?

How do you run your sub cable?
-LFE only
-Line level

H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

When it's running.....and it hasn't been for a year......line level into a Velo SMS-1, line level into the amp and speaker level AQ's into the sub. All IC's were a constant flavor of the month. This is with a VMPS Larger.

I have mine connected via LFE. Currently it is using a monster cable that i got for cheap. Does the cable really make a difference? LOL

I use Audioquest ITA 1.1 for both of my subs. I find this cable to really work well. Even at long runs up to about 50 feet , the cable seems to hold the signal true. But both of my current sub runs are 8 feet each.

For subs you can however use Rg59SD or RG6QB or RG6 and get excellent results. It's a limited bandwidth signal so a really high end audio cable is not required for best results.

In terms of audio, i truly feel sorry for the visually impaired. How can they know what they like if they cant read google?

30' sub cable from monoprice for LFE connection. The cable is fine. It's the LFE crossover that I seem to have a problem with. Eventually I'll get around to trying a speaker-level connection. Perhaps a sub for each main, idk...

Outlaw Audio PCA sub cable with locking RCAs - it was included when I bought their LFM-1 sub.

I've been using a 6 foot coaxial Philips digital audio cable that cost me something like $9.99 plus tax.

I've got the cable connected to the R/LFE input of the sub, with the Low Pass dial set to LFE and the sub amplifier volume knob set between the 8 o'clock and the 9 'clock position (i.e., just a bit above where it would otherwise be pointing at "Min").

25' monoprice through the LFE only. Monoprice IC's are hard to beat, I noticed a pretty substantial improvement in my sub when I switched from the Monster cable i had previously. The bass sounds tighter and faster, or maybe its just my ears playing tricks on me. The cable is nice and the terminations seem solid, nice connectors too and all for about $6 shipped . .

    Hello Eric,

I'm a novice, but for what its worth, my sub is a Polk PSW 505 that I purchased last month. I'm using a heavy RCA cable with gold colored connectors that came with a pack of cables I picked up at Costco a couple of years ago. It seems to sound fine (thuds, rumbles, etc. that I never heard before are now audible and convincing). I don't know how to tell if I am missing some audio quality though.

Enjoy the rest of your evening!

I run stereo sealed (3.5 cubic foot). Run the L/C/R through a Behringer DCX2496 Active X-Over/PEQ. I then run the x-over'd output with some DIY Belden cable / Canare solder terminations to a Behringer EP2500 amp for the sub duties.

I just picked up some Mono-price Mic cable and the build quality is outstanding. If you are looking to DIY your own long run sub cable I would look at their mic cable.
