Finally made my decision on speakers

My decision is a pair of Sonus Faber Grand Piano's. Now I just have to find the right pair at the right price. Something like this http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?spkrfull&1272650759&/Sonus-Faber-Grand-Piano-Domus-

I have not listened to them yet but after extensive reading other's opinions from all over the internet they are what I "need". If I find the right ones and for some reason don't like them I can always flip them but I don't really think that will happen.

Do you guys/gals have any thoughts for me before I take the next step?
I believe my equipment is up to the task to have the SF GP's sound awesome so I should be all set.

I'll never get rid of my Polk SRS2's but will do away with other stuff thats accumulated in the closet. That reminds me of a few things!

    +1...Those are some gorgeous speakers.

Can't wait to hear some thoughts on them! Sonus Fabers have been piking my interest for a while now...I'm probably going to end up trying some of their bookshelves sometime down the line.

Grats NJPolker! You'll be hooked to them. After all, it is a SF. Make sure you get/have the silicon oil bottle that came with the speakers to shine/clean up the leather and drivers. It will make it look brand new again, not to mention longer lasting. If the seller didn't have it, get it from Sumiko.

5+ years and counting, I still love my Cremona. And the Domus is NO slouch, no doubt you'll love them. Feed it with plenty of juice, you'll be amazed how it gets better with more clean power.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    Well, good news baby :):D

I just purchased the SF's in the link above. They are a true 10 on the Audiogon scale which means MINT. I will have high resolution pictures soon to post.
They will be in their original beautiful boxes inside of an outer box then stretch wrapped and packaged on a pallet. We do not want anything to go wrong at this point!! They should be here next week and I will be like a dog at the front window waiting for my master to come home.
You think my wife will notice :o:rolleyes:

I just got done telling my wife I traded in my PSB Alpha T's for these. I am going to hell and I hope they serve beer in hell.
Now I just have to figure out where to go with the PSB's I bought from my friend Mark/Doro a month ago or so. I upgraded the x-overs in the PSB's with Sonicaps and Mills resistors and they are being burned-in as I type this. I can say they already sound far far far better than the stock caps and resistors. I will do a review on the pre/post upgrade on the PSB Alpha T's once they settle in. I gotta do it soon since the SF's will be here next week.
I have my SRS2's off to the side, my SDA2a's in one closet and my Monitor 10's hiding in another closet since a baseball bat blow to them.

When ever your ready. Well, you'll have to wait a week for delivery and a few hours of, burn-in, time adjustment, break-in whatever anyone calls it for the SF's to sound OK.

Man, this would not be the way I would do it. It's your choice and I'm not trying to say anything other than this...

When I stopped listening to reviews and I started getting my ears on different speakers? That's when my audio journey took off and I'm much, much happier for it.

    My bad.

I understand where your coming from and hear ya loud and clear. I hear you far even better than I have heard my latest purchase :o. The worst thing that can happen is after the adjustment period I hate them and re-sell them. No big deal to me. It is nice to listen to many speakers especially in my own home and my system. Also, I am sure I will sell these in a few years after I get tired of them. If for some reason I don't care for them they will go bye-bye sooner than later.
I am happy as a clam steamed in Budweiser
    Thanks for the good wishes.

They should be awesome without a doubt. As excited as I am about them I am not really that excited. However, I told my wife the recliner in the living room is moving next week so I can relax looking out the front of the house.
