I'm looking for a power conditioner/surge protector and was recommended the APC line. Are the two identical except for the H15 having the led readout?

Yes and the Kva rating 10 for the model 10 and 15 for the model 15.

try doing a search as this has been covered a few times recently.

H15 has higher protection power if I'm not mistaken.

The H15 has a higher maximum input current, higher surge energy rating, higher equipment protection policy, etc etc etc...

It's marketed as an improved H10, and it's exactly that. But it's up to you to decide if it's worth the extra coin. ;)

You'll like the display much better on the 15 than the 10

I'm going to need another one soon... i'll probably step back up to the H15 and move the H10 to HT duty.

You'll like it. :) Let us know if you hear a sonic difference or not.

Any good deals you've found? I bought mine new, shipped for $99 and I kick myself everyday for not buying 2. Cheapest I've seen a new one recently is around $279-$299.

With the H15, I found it to have a blacker background..............it just made things very, very quiet. Also seemed to improve bass a tad and I think because of the dead quiet background the soundstage is slightky better. It definitely improved the cable TV signal.

Congrats! The APC units are excellent. I'm using an H10 in my 2 channel rig, and couldn't be happier. I'll probably move up to an H15 eventually, and use the H10 on a secondary rig.

Just got the unit last night and looks like a quality product.

In the back of the unit there is a Ground Loop connector.

Is anyone using this and do you use a regular ground wire for it?

The manual doesn't go into much detail from what I saw.

I plugged it in for a few minutes last night and the "Wiring OK Status" light wasn't lit. Not sure if there is a wiring issue but I decided to run a dedicated line from the fuse box to the APC unit. Hopefully this will fix this.

If the light didn't light up.............then yes, there is an issue. Most issues are reversed polarity. A dedicated line is a great idea anyways. So just do that and then use the conditioner

I just picked up a J15blk last week. It's a really nice unit. It's really long and quite heavy but it has 12 outlets and batter backup which is exactly what I needed. It's maxed out LOL. I slimmed down some of my gear and I still am stacked.
