Mine seems to be doing the same thing, once it's on for a period of time the sound just quits. The unit doesn't turn off it just quits. I'm using the optical input with PCM.

    D&D,

I've forwarded this one to Polk Customer Service, stay tuned. The more details, the better, are the problems associated with dvd only?

    Cheers,

mine would do the same thing bopth while using the DVD and on regular TV watching as well, just no sound all of a sudden. Last night it shut down completely and now when I try to turn it back on the speaker "clicks" repeatedely and the unit does not turn on.

Mine shuts off when watching any sources using the optical input. I have noticed that it possibly shuts off when there is heavy bass but I can hardly think that I'm overloading it in anyway. The volume is never above 15 in my little apartment.

I'd flip the power switch in the back to off and yank the power cord for a good 5 minutes.

Do you have it plugged into a surge protector or just directly into the wall?

(a $5.99 plug strip does not count)

It's plugged into an APC battery backup, I do believe mine is a heat issue last night when it started acting up I moved a pedestal fan in the living room had it blowing directly across the top and it didn't shut off the rest of the night.

Been following the heat issues with the 360 and raised mine up about 1" above the deck, it is only a week old but seems to freeze up when I go to unused sources, or rapidly between sources. Once it freezes up have to unplug and let it sit for a while. Love the sound and don't want to go thru the hassle of shipping back to Amazon.

If you're having trouble with your SurroundBar 360 (or any other of our items for that matter) please contact us directly- 800-377-7655, Option 1. Or email polkcs@polkaudio.com or via the "support" page.

Generally, if you purchase within the first 30 days, it's best to go back to wherever it was purchased from.
