some body give it to me straight! whats the beef with emotiva? its not like they are competition or anything. why does everybody get so burned when they hear the name?

Here ya go,Emotiva makes great gear at low prices,if you paid a high price for less quality you must justify to yourself, you must bring them down to justify your choices.

Now,if you like BK,Rotel etc...better,that's fine, you just say Emotivas ok but I prefer my BK etc...and move on.But,when you're not sure you need to try to degrade someone else, then you feel better, but not really, you're still sore so you must take it out on.........

So......the adults here/other sites buy what they like, enjoy it and don't feel the need to bash anyone else, the people with some existing problem anyway find an outlet for their anger,I suppose better Emotiva than their family.

You've got the right idea in how it should be handled, but you're failing to realize that it's extremely rare that bashing of the company or the gear itself is really the case. But absolutely, ADULTS don't feel the need to bash anyone else for their choices. ADULTS also don't feel the need to make ridiculous claims on subjects that they no experience in.

And i'm not sure if this was by design, but your post sure made it sound like B&K and Rotel are inferior to Emotiva at a higher price. I do so hope you'll clarify that. I may have just read that wrong....

    BTW: I'm not attacking, i promise. :)

heres the strange thing the way i see it. 5 channel amp (carver) 300 on ebay. like new. 5 channel amp emotiva 589 new. id take my chances with the carver. with the available deals i dont see how anybody could be dissappointed with their purchase unless they just didnt do the research first. in which case their review isnt fully educated anyway and holds no value. seems the issues are deeper than just equipment performance and price.

Bummerised- are you serious, that's not a word and not even a funny play on a word.

As to the bolded part. Grow some skin and learn to let things go. You keep yammering on and on and on. Stop responding if your are so annoyed at what responses you are getting.

You started out on the wrong foot, some, including myself tried to give you the benefit. Now it's time to just read more and post less.

I would think by now you;ve made a mental note no to ask stupid things about Emotiva, because it can produce a **** storm. Frankly, with your self admitted higher education and as much time as you spend here, I thought you would have known that.

This sounds familiar. I remember we were honored by the visit of some high level executive/millionaire that could not type. His excuse was that he always had a secretary to do the typing. Can't remember who, but I guess there's plenty of these around.

Bummerised- are you serious, that's not a word and not even a funny play on a word.

I thought it was a funny play so your opinion is irrelevant.

As to the bolded part. Grow some skin and learn to let things go. You keep yammering on and on and on. Stop responding if your are so annoyed at what responses you are getting.

I'm not in the least bit annoyed. your posse speaks of "usual ribbing" yet when I return fire you all are suddenly made of glass and say I'm inciting riot. again your opinion is irrelevant.

You started out on the wrong foot, some, including myself tried to give you the benefit. Now it's time to just read more and post less.

You accused me of bing here only to "peddle my junk" again you are dead wrong and so your opinion is irrelevant.

I would think by now you;ve made a mental note no to ask stupid things about Emotiva, because it can produce a **** storm. Frankly, with your self admitted higher education and as much time as you spend here, I thought you would have known that.

Clearly your group is incapable of answering a question straight, for some reason take personal and irrational offense and think its some sort of "troll" activity. in my book thats paranoia and renders your view and opinion irrelevant.

In short you and yours are irrelevant to me. If I'm such an idiot why not heed your own advise? "Stop responding if your are so annoyed at what responses you are getting" and spend your time in places other than my questions and posts? Maybe its you starting the problems? Ever think of that?!
