Wierd Smell from DB1212

I bought a Polk db1212 Enclosure with loaded subwoofer. It is rated for 50-360 RMS watts, 2 ohms... and there on. My amp (Infinity Kappa Five Amp) is labeled as 300 watts RMS (Which, may be wrong and may quite possibly be higher). However, I ran the speaker slow to allow "break-in" and the last week or two I have been not straining it so to say but just playing it. When I get to school (10 minute drive) there is typically a smell coming from the enclosure (Yes the enclosure and not the amp). The woofer is slightly warm. What I am wanting to know, is that smell coming from the subwoofer? Or is it coming from inside the enclosure from like paint warming up? The inside of the vent there is some black paint (thick blotches, may I add). Does anyone have experience with this?

Its hard to explain what it smells like. It smells like burning, but it doesn't. It smells like plastic, but it doesn't. Its a sweet smell. Maybe it is plastic burning? Im hoping not; but rather the adhesive/paint the enclosure was made from melting.

Is this a new or used woofer?
