Does anyone here have any experience with this receiver? I'm currently looking at upgrading my htr5760, and i found this at a good price. I understand that it's an older model, but i believe it was one of the higher end models. My only question is concerning the outputs. The manual says it's a 5.1, but also that it has 2 extra front outputs for front effects. Will these work as rear surround, or just front effects?

The rxv2092 was a great strong high output high dynamic range receiver back in the day. I know all about it.This was one of my very favorite receivers and when I flet Yamaha was on top of their game. Love it.
The Front effects are exactly that , they can not be reassigned or used for any other purpose.

+1... I ran an RX-v 2090 and loved it! A great Receiver from when Yamaha was tops in the field in terms of AVR's. I would recommend holding off however and keep on the lookout for an RXv-4600 instead. This one would be the spiritual successor to the 2090-91 and give you more modern features like HDMI. The 4600 can be had for less than 600bucks if you are ok shopping CL/Ebay.
