This I gotta see; you two guys are so stubborn that if you started on Friday night neither would tap out and it would continue through Sunday when Louie jumps in and take you guys, one under each arm, and drops you limp bodies in the street!:D

Like Gilgamesh and Enkidu, we may be there for a looooooonnnnngggggg time Joe? Bring extra 'flash memory'!

Great analogy Constantine. I haven't read that one in years. So Mark would be Gilgamesh and John Enkidu but John doesn't die!;)

    .

John and I stubborn? I'm sure that's true but what a one dimensional view overall. I'm sure a generic opinion may be applied to every active member here on Club Polk, of which some are more personal then others for one reason or another.

It's only at Polkfest and Polkie organized events that you get to really know the actual individual and person behind the "mask" that is CP. I've been around since 2004 and don't hate anyone here, although a couple folks just love to hate I guess. I would hope we all have better things to worry about in this world.

I'm there for Polk, the event and the relationships that I've worked on over the years of attending and helping organize these events. Perhaps you go for different reasons Joe, who knows but I'm planning on doing as much as possible behind the scenes, as usual.

For others.....just attend, just watch the event unfold remotely....all this stuff never matters onsite. It's just audio for most of us and the other 7 formal events should be pretty clear on that....good times. Just take a look at the pictures in the showcase. They may have not taken the time to post them all but the major events are all posted.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I think you **** through your fur and bark at the moon. You're a wolf in ...
the Emperor's New Clothes. I can talk audio all day all month here if I want. I come to see stupid people tricks, maybe pick up new moves, eats, debs, stuff like that.

Hey, Lou, since I'm gonna be there on Thursday, I decided that after I'm finished helping out for the day, I'm gonna load up the AR9's and drive back home with them before any of these jokers even shows up.

I don't really want them. I'm just going to use them as garage speakers and power them with an Emotiva amp and a Nakamichi cassette deck. I got some "Jethro Tull" bootleg stuff on kick-**** Maxell cassettes. Should be a rockin' good time!

Lou, are you printing up name badges with handles/real names?

I thought about this, too... but some cheap, blank "Hello my name is..." badges and a Sharpie would suffice. I know at the last HQ gathering Polk had some nice "Polk Audio" blank badges. Maybe Mark could score a few sheets of those...

I was just going to shove them down the stairs. They bounce, right?

Besides, they are only 130 pounds. My Amazings are just under 120 pounds and I can move them myself. I just put them face down on the stairs and ride them down like a toboggan!

Okay, so I'm definately in for Saturday all day. Does anyone have extra space in a hotel room Saturday night that I could split with you? Obviously I'll pay my half. If so, I'll also come back around on Sunday to help clean up if it's needed.

Anyone unconfirmed, just remove them from the list. I hate that crap and the "OMG I forgot I have a wedding to attend and a funeral the NEXT DAY!" type excuses. That list will historically drop 10 ppl either way and gain another unconfirmed batch of folks.

    I'm in 100%.
