PSWi225 messing with wireless network

I'm demo'ing the PSWi225 wireless subwoofer. and

the wireless signal is messing up the wireless home network. the network is somewhat extensive.. lots of wireless things in the house.

I know it's the wireless subwoofer transmitter. because one I disconnect it, the home network is fine. Plug it back in and it cause the computers to hang or not connect to the internet. It's also affecting the wireless connection for two BD players.

Not a big problem for me unless I was planning to keep it.

I guess a solution might be to change the channel on the rear of the subwoofer and the transmitter to see if that solves it. I haven't done that yet, but will try it.

Interesting. I guess it's a good thing that they've got us guinea pigs to test things out for them.:D

Hopefully Polk will come up with a solution.

the transmistter and sub itself have 4 different channels is can work on.. i am on ch 1, so maybe the other channels use different frequencies and it would not be a problem.

i'll play around with the other channel frequencies and see what the results are.

Setting 4 did not mess with our wireless network.

Hmmm, never encountered that one. IIRC, I had it on channel 2 with no issues.

When I demoed it, the sub transmitter was sitting right next to my wireless internet router...and there was no interference at all. Then I moved the sub and transmitter to the other side of the house farthest away from the router, and still had no problems with my wireless internet service or wireless cell or home phones. Very odd situation.

Why didn't you try this included feature, SPECIFICALLY for this issue before starting a thread with a big thumbs down? Good work looking out.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

because I was trying to tick you off.. and I accomplished it.

I didn't say the product was bad.. just that the wireless can and did interfere with my wireless router.

a thumbs down does not say IMHO that a product is bad.. just something with it's operation "MIGHT" be a problem for someone down the line.
after all I think Polk is looking for honest feedback on their products.. not sugar coated sweetness.

I'll be sure to exclude you from any further demos as I wouldn't want to inconvenience you.

From the title of this discussion it looks like the Polk PSWi225 is messing with the wireless network. From reading the discussion it's apparently only on the default channel 1.

IMHO, it's probably best for the moderator to append something like "on default channel 1" to the topic title, thus: "PSWi225 messing with wireless network on default channel 1".

Danger boy, any update? Did changing the frequencies work for you?
