Problem with PSW125

I've had the PSW125 for about 4 years. It's attached to my Sony STR DE 698 by a good RCA cable from the Sub Out to Line In on the Sub. It has worked very well for most of the time.

Currently it is very overpowering and rattles quite a bit. Nothing has changed in my setup. It has done this once or twice before. When it happens I start checking everything and testing. It makes no difference. So I change the settings on my receiver and disable the sub for a week or two.

I believe it's a problem with the electronics in the sub. I can make the sub drasticly change volume by just tapping or touching the volume knob. If I move the volume up and down it will make all sorts of vibrations.

Any suggestions on fixing the issue or cleaning the volume setting?

I also have two Polk R30's for R and L.

I have an old KLN ?? for Center and SR, SL.

Thanks
Steve
