You could use blackout curtains or buy some black velvet and still get the same excellent results. Again your setup looks great bro.

First, I am missing the hell out of the 2 channel setup, but where my HT lacks in music, it kills in movies and videogames. So it's a trade-off.

Second, my girlfriend is by no means materialistic, and she'd say "I do" if I got her a $500 ring from TJMaxx. I got her this ring because I wanted to. Selling my gear was symbolic, but also a good reason to start over as I felt my focus got a little out of hand and some synergy was lost.

EDIT, and Jesus guys . . . how much do you think I spent on the ring? I've bought audio systems that cost most . . . I can't let her think she's worth less than my speakers :)

I wasn't really referring to you when I said that...more just in general.

So, how are you liking the dual MP3000's? I'm tossing around getting a pair of either MP2000's or MP3000's when I upgrade my sub.

Have you used them in combination with the A9's for 2 channel duty?

Whatever I end up going with...musicality is going to be priority #1...with HT as more of an afterthought. It's basically between a pair of MicroPro's 2k's or 3k's or a pair of Epik Vanquish's or Sentinels though at this point.

I like the 3000s a lot. They are very compact and have tremendous bass when the movie requires. I think they are also fairly musical, but they need to be turned down a bit from what I set them at for movies. In all honesty, unless I'm playing metal, I keep the subs off because I have the Rtia9s dialed in to a point where their bass performance is not only authoritative but very tight.
