There are even dirt track guys still running dirt track with better records and careers than Dale Sr could have ever hopped to have. Kinser has won 20 championships and has well over 520 wins and Sammy Swindell has 267+ World of Outlaw wins as well as stints in NASCAR where he has finished as high as 12th overall in the points. Those guys are far more successful than Dale, either one of them.

    Dale didn't win by determination. He won because he drove in to everyone else on the track. If you wreck all your opponents, of course you are going win uncontested if the rest of the field gets a DNF.

    You can't find another driver who was more determined than Dale Earnhardt.

    And whats highlighted in red above is ridiculous.

    That girl is just passable enough in the looks department to have her own 1/2 hour, mindless, comedy sitcom. That's probably what the whole damn endeavor is about anyway.

    I could add some other racing greats to Jstas list, but totally agree with his list. I used to live within 30 min of Knoxville IA where the World of Outlaws championship is held, and had season passes. Steve Kinser and the whole Kinser family are great racers and a great family. I watched them repair another competitors car just so the youngster that had came all the way from CA could keep racing and have a chance.

    Danica Patrick - you can say what you want, but with 3 daughters I can tell you that she has opened young girls minds up to the fact that they can do and be whatever they want, if they have the courage and tenacity to pursue it. IMHO that's more valuable than anything Dale Sr ever did.

    I didn't have a favorite in the Super Bowl, but it was nice to see NO get a win finally.
