;):)I guarantee a Saints victory, if....................

When the Saints win it will be due to sheer determination. Dale Earnhardt Sr. is the greatest race car driver ever due to shear determination. If the Saints play the game like Earnhardt drove a race car they will win easily.

That's the way it is because I said so

But Dale Sr isn't the greatest race car driver ever, so does that invalidate your entire hypothesis?

Richard Petty is by far the most over rated driver of all time. Just look at the records. It's embarrassing like his son Klye.

I know where this "King Richard" thing will go. He won 200 or so races when racing was not competitive. I think we won like 30 races in a year, wow no competition. He has his politics right though.

I gotta go have another Budweiser.:)

Apparently you never witnessed first hand the races at Darlington in the old days. They were some driving sumbritches. Hope the Saints don't play too hard and end up like Sr.

    Go Colts.

Darlington is my favorite race track. Those were great races and Dale Earnhardt really shined at Darlington.

If the Saints play hard like Sr. they will win.

    By the way F U :p

One more thing :D Richard Petty reminds me of F1 racing

I kind of think that whoever has the ball last will win the game, driving for the winning score on that last possession.

    I'm sorry...thats just lame....Both the analogy and.....

Earnhardt was NOT the greatest NASCAR driver ever. In fact right up until his death, as many fans hated him as liked him. As with many famous people, the hype and their stock rises greatly if they die prematurely. The legend becomes the reality that never was. Dale was good...but far from the greatest ever.

It's not a matter of hate or love. It's about true desire to win and Dale had it. Now if the Saint have that true desire they will win.
Dale's premature death did not build any "hype" for him. He was the man and for that matter still is. It's rare when a man come along like Dale who is that driven to succeed, no pun intended.
The worst thing to hear during racer introduction is "nothing" because boo's get you just as far as applause.

Earnhardt is the a true American hero.

I had to add one more thing. I didn't say Dale is the greatest NASCAR driver. I said he is the greatest race car driver.

You must have a serious man-crush on Earnhardt. ;)

He is neither the greatest race driver EVER nor is he an American hero. He may have been "the man" for you...but many do not hold that opinion.

He was a southern boy who drove a race car pretty well and had a desire to compete and win. He gained some fame and made a good living doing so. No more...no less.

Just because he died while racing doesn't make him a hero. If he had died trying to save a driver in a burning car or done something for the betterment of others or for all...then maybe a hero. He raced to win for himself. IMO you disgrace the memory of many REAL American heros by calling him one.

This is getting a little too deep just to discuss a football game.

Bottom line...The team that scores the most points will win. There are many factors as to why. One team may have the great desire to win...but the other team may have a greater desire...and still lose. Luck...breaks...injury...mistakes...lack of mistakes....and even a single event may decide the outcome. And in the end it is just a game...with a winner and loser. Every participant and fan (barring a catastrophic event) will wake up in the morning and go on with their lives regardless of the outcome.

    I know I will.

    Enjoy the game.

Dale SR. Did far more good for others than he ever gets credit for. To say that all he did was drive a stock car shows that you do not know who the man was at all. Dale bought a car dealership as a gift to a salesman that helped him early in his driving career. He saved a family facing forclosure by cutting a check to pay for their home, paid for medical care for those in need and countless other acts of kindness and charity wherever he went.

The difference between him and others of his stature is that nobody knew about it. He did not call press conferences to anounce to the world his kindness as he did not want to garner fame or recognition from them.

Dale Earnhardt was a douchebag who lives on thru his douchebag son.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the Who. I like them but thought they would be way too old, but they really nailed it IMO.

Carrie Underwood did a pretty good National Anthem until she missed the last note (though I kind of appreciated that because it means she actually sang it live).

Dale? Greatest Ever? I don't think so.

I can think of several off the top of my head who would be ranked far, far above Dale. Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Loeb, Colin McRae, Tommi Makkinen, Ivan "Ironman" Stewart, Mario Andretti, A.J. Foyt, Parnelli Jones, Mark Donahue, Gilles Villeneuve...the list goes on. There are even dirt track guys still running dirt track with better records and careers than Dale Sr could have ever hopped to have. Sammy Swindell and Steve Kinser have both been racing for over 30 years. Kinser has won 20 championships and has well over 520 wins and Sammy Swindell has 267+ World of Outlaw wins as well as stints in NASCAR where he has finished as high as 12th overall in the points. Those guys are far more successful than Dale, either one of them.

Dale didn't win by determination. He won because he drove in to everyone else on the track. If you wreck all your opponents, of course you are going win uncontested if the rest of the field gets a DNF.
