Well my local repair shop called back today(spectrum sound, indpls,in)and some kind of power surge blew the resistor and caused the tweeter and one of the drivers to go out on my rti12.Funny my power never went out and there hasnt been any real bad storms lately plus i never heard one of the speakers go out while listening to music/movies.

Theyre are replacing the resistor, but since i get a discount i told them i would order the speakers myself.
I wont have the funds until uncle sam coughs up my money so i figured i could try to get a ballpark figure here and then speak directly w/ polk customer service in bout 2 wks.

Anybody have an idea how much it would be to replace the tweeter and driver?

    nebody here...
Your best bet is to call Polk CS.
    1-800-377-POLK (7655)
    9AM-5:30PM EST Mon-Fri

I do not know how much the tweeter and driver for that speaker costs.
IF you are looking for used here on the Forum, post a WTB thread, but it would behoove you to post the model #'s from the tweeter and driver, so someone can help you. Never know you might get lucky. Good luck :)

If you mean answers from Polk reps on the Forum? You might want to be alittle more patient if that is what you want. They do have regular jobs....like answering the phone from all of us. They do post on the Forum, but it has only been a couple of hours since your first post. They might have missed YOUR thread in the hundreds of others.

I know it can be frustrating when having issues, but I appreciate the level of Polk CS.
Just cal them. It's toll free. Kim is a great guy. Or Kyle...to name a couple. Full of information and very willing to help you out.

BTW: Did you look at your drivers and get the Model #'s? If not, CS can tell yo that as well.

I did see these in my daily eBay wanderings. They are from a RTi10, but might be the same model #. Not too bad a price IF they are the ones you are looking for.
