Yes it is Cpyder but the finger pointing doesn't help the effort. It causes the negative reactions to sprout up and exactly what is trying to be avoided.

    Thanks for agreeing.:)

I support your idea and will personally abide by it.

But the whole internet is not going to police itself. Mod action is needed to keep out troublemakers. Been there done that. If you don't agree you're just being naive IMHO.

The troublemakers are always weeded out here. The mods have enough to do. Besides many outstanding members here started out with a chip on their shoulder and after a short while GOT IT and realized what a great club we have here and started to grow some skin and become friends and great contributors.

Thank for stepping up Joe. There is a lot of different brand names out there for everyone to have an opinion. Adcom, Carver, NAD, Pioneer, Emotiva, Marantz, and etc.... I know, I know, tubes rule. :) Most people on this site are a fan boys about certain Brand names that are for electronic gear, wires, and speakers. To each his own. More power to the people.

I respectfully disagree. There are a few (very few) longstanding members here who don't "get it".

We'll have to agree to disagree.:) I've found it beneficial to accept people's personalities here. I've made some bonehead remarks and taken shots at people but we all make mistakes and sometimes let our fingers get ahead of our brains.

Perhaps it is the Marine in me that is quick to defend that is to blame for some of my response and I see where that can cause issues. I will work on that.

Sometimes, you made me pause my readings and think for a minute what you mean. Then, I remember to use a dictionary and look under words "Antonyms" and find out what you really mean by substituting some key words so it becomes make sense...

Perhaps you should look in the mirror and follow your own advice. Your post above does look like the very thing the OP is trying to prevent. I have no beef with you, so what is your real agenda. If I have offended you in your short time here, please PM me and we can work it out.

When I first joined this forum I heard good talk about Emotiva and SVS. This led me to purchase an LMC-1 Pre-Pro from Emotiva and a pair of SVS subwoofers. Later, my LMC-1 moved to the upstairs sytem, and I bought an MMC-1 from EMO for the main system.

Sooooo...all this to say that EMOTIVA makes the best Pre-Pro in the entire world, I think everyone should sell their cheap-**** gear and buy an EMO and become EMOETTES. We rule the world, we are the best, we have the best gear at the best prices.

    I spit on Emotiva amps.....

Lookit, there are a few things in life you can bank on, death, taxes and internet ****. There's no point in trying to make peace with any of them because detente is an illusion.

Hey, this is Club Polk...from what I've seen, it's the Emotiva guys that are primarily acting like jagoffs. The only option is to ignore them because the are fundamentally, jagoffs. Either by birth or they are being paid to be that way....either way, the olive branch is a nice, but ultimately futile gesture.

Personally, what I think has backfired is that Emotiva might make a great bang/buck product but I wouldn't buy one because I think that some of these douchers are acting on behalf of the company....and I have a very strict 'No Doucher' policy.

LOL, apparently. I missed all the hubbub. I imagine theyre great amps at there pricepoint and then some. if I was buying new, it would probably be right in my wheelhouse (well, if I was buying new and all my Hafler and Carver amps burned in a housefire or something)

I must have been artfully dodgeing all the Emo fanboy stuff as I have not seen much of it. It must have been rampant if Joe is stepping up and pitching the **** overall.

I'm with Joe, put your mother effin amps down and step away from the keyboards.

Lemme revisit that.....I wasn't aware that there was an Emotiva forum, which I just learned that there is. I'll probably say that it's more likely just overzealous window-lickers. However, companies DO have folks that make the rounds on the interweb to spread corporate bilge.

There are a couple here that MIGHT fit that bill....most of them though seem to have IQ's that hover around room temp.
