Hello guys. I just finished my diy amplifier using nxv200 from Aussie amplifiers.
I had many good commercial amps like Adcom, Acurus, Marantz, Portal panache, Bryston, Luxman etc, and I also have build many diy amps. But I have never heard a beautiful sound as these amp kits. they are top notch. and whom ever knows a little how to read voltages and some solder work will be just fine to build these fantastic diy amps. just read reviews. you will not regret it. I am just waiting for some input caps "Sonicap from Sonicraft".
Trust me when I say this diy amp can kick some a$$ even all those mentioned above. Here are some pictures.;)

it took me like two weeks, I had to wait for parts from 3 different companies.the longest was for the transformer(one week).

Looks like the typical flavor "LM" series chip-amp. I owned one of Peter's for awhile with Caddock resistors, and Black Gate caps and it was impressive initially, but at the end of the day it was too analytical and was too disconnected from the music, it seemed each part of the music was playing independently and never seemed to integrate together into a singular cohesive output. Very sterile sounding, not at all "real"

Nice workmanship...............glad you are enjoying it.

Well. this is not a chipamp, I had one LM3875 from Peter Daniel too. These are diy amps kit from Aussie amplifiers these are the nxv200. they sound awesome!.The bridge rectifier is from Peter Daniel using mur860 and some smooth caps on the bottom.

Well, lets see here. The boards are around $300 per pair (stereo), the transformer is $130, the mundorf caps are $100, The Sonicaps are $20, the potentiometer is $25 that is the total of $575 more or less! plus the rest like bridge rectifier, smooth caps, thermistors, cables, switch, chassis etc.But I used an old chassis from a Portal panache amp so I save some money there.I know with that kind of money I can get a new amp or an used one on eBay but,Trust me when I say I had so many amps including tube ones,But I always found something wrong with them, They never pleased me 100%. if anyone is for diy amps...look not farther!.The nxv200 amp kits can beat many good commercial amps even some Bryston amps!!! yeah you hear me right even some Bryston amps. How do I know this? Because I had a few Bryston too! and I did a test with some of my friends amps like Blue Circle, Bryston, Luxman, Adcom, and a $3000 amps that I do not remember the name but it was a monster.I do not say these diy amps are the best but,They definitely are worth to build one.;)
This is the potentiometer That I am using 10k.

Well, you always have the choice to build a "gainclone" amp like LM3875 from Audiosector they sound good and they are not too pricey to build. just if you are in the diy staff.;)
