Back to the OPs original question...takeway the SRS models, but leaving in other SDAs...

    1Cs
    2Bs
    CRS+
    RTA11s
    LS90
    RTA 8
    LS50
    RT35i
    RT55i
    RTiA3
    RTi8

In that order, in my house. I've heard LSis in store, the RTiA floorstanders in store and I think I'd fit the LSis in there with the LS90s and RTA 11s somewhere. The A series floors somewhere in the RT mix.

I don't really have an RT preference since I heard the RT35is and 55is on a very nice front end and the RTi8s on an entry level front end.

I really don't have a preference between the LS series and RTA series. I heard them at different times and was equally impressed.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

I would say in this order.

    1. IC's
    2, Lsi 25
    3. SDA 2B
    4. Lsi f/X
    5. Monitor 7's w/peerless
    6. Monitor 10A's

I never heard the LS or RTA line so they did not make my list. Hopefully some day I will hear some.
Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,
Yamaha RX-V2500 System, Carver A753 3 channel amp.

Polk HT system 2: , SRT system with f/x 1,000's rear speakers on 7.1 system currently using Onkyo TX-RZ820 receiver, powered by Sunfire Grand Theater amp

    Polk Speaker collection: SDA SRS 1.2tl x 2, SRT system, SDA SRS 2 P/B, SDA 2A, SDA 1C Studio, SDA CRS+, Monitor 7B & 4, SRS 3.1tl, RTA 15tl, LS90, LSI 9

Thanks guys. Is it safe to say that those of you that didn't include (non SRS) SDA models would also put the 1C and 2B at the head of your list, as the last few replies did?

I'm just putting together a watch list for CL and Ebay, and also for sales on new RtiA and LSi's. Polk has too dang many models (for example I'd never looked into the RTA11T's before this thread) so this helps me narrow down the list quite a bit.

I am totally surprised more of you did not rank LSi's up at the top.

Can some one help me sort out the Polk speakers with "11" in the model number. The internet is a very confused place. I find references to Monitor 11, Monitor 11 RTA, RTA11, RTA11T, and RTA11TL.

Are these all distinctly different models?

[edit] Also, those that have heard the LS90's, can you tell me more about them (strengths, weaknesses)? There's an original owner pair within reasonable driving distance in allegedly excellent condition for $600. Compared to the 2.3TL, they are....

We are referring to the RTA11's.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

I think so generally, but there are those that have done the TL mod on the 2Bs and prefer them to 1Cs...so it's not universal.

I may have missed it but the 15's are supposed to be **** kickers.

If you were to do a search I would imagine you'd find similar questions.

I exchanged emails with this man a couple of weeks ago. First he said he would sell them for $650...I wasn't interested....then he emailed back and said someone was driving from Chicago the next day to pick them up.

    Apparently not.
