Thanks Joe! I will look into the isol-pads. I am using Dr. Scholl's gel inserts as pads under my player right now :) Looks like I am going to make a trip to local gun supply before I move everything into the new rack. Thanks again for the tips.

    same item here:

    but only .40-.52 each :)

    the 2x2 size is optimal

Quest for Sound Isol-Pads are copyrighted. I've not tried any of the ones listed in your link but I would imagine they would have some benefit.

I've received no email Drew. You may want to consider looking up some gun shops on the PA side of the river. With gas and tolls I think you will still save money vs the shipping from MO.

I will try again. There must be another hearingimpared who has mail then LMAO

Yes, there is also a "HearingImapaired" which was my first choice for a screen name here so I had to settle on "hearingimpared."

You are not the first to send him PMs meant for me. He has two whole post and the last time he posted was 10-13-2003. So I'm surprised his PM box isn't full.

I did get your PM, I'm going to check it out in a minute.

No I never did fill the rack. I originally planned on using some shot to fill them but was initially discouraged by the inability to remove the covers over the area needing fill. I have subsequently learned of the "through the bottom" tap off of the leg pieces technique but I had used it long enough with no ill effect that I left it alone.

$160.00 + in lead for my stand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gotta be really F'ing nuts. What's even worse is I am going to buy into it. If Joe say so I'll go with it. When things get tough I can always use the shot for something else

Like I said, you should be able to get it cheaper from a gun shop. IIRC I paid $25 for each 25 lb bag at the gun shop here in Delaware.

Don't just take my word for it Drew there are several others who own VTIs and have used the same method. One member that comes to mind is SCompRacer (Rich). I think Sal did his the same way too.

I trust you and appreciate your advice.

Sal probably stuck a few cheese burgers in his  Sorry Sal I could not help myself.
As for Rich he probably stuffed his with lug nuts.
