    All vintage for me.

Pioneer sa-9100, tx9100, pl-530, ct-f9191, and sg-9500 is the main rig. A bunch of other goodies in my other setups too. Love my classics!:D

I haven't heard the Crites tweeters. I owned a pair of 1974 Cornies for a decade (EV T-35 AlNiCo tweeters, I think Klipsch called 'em K-77); sounded great with excellent program material and very good and/or sympathetic amplification... otherwise they could be ear-gougers.

Sold 'em when I got a pair of 846A Valencias. A pair of cosmetically nicer 848A Santiagos (shown in the earlier photo) are currently in the LR as the Valencias await cosmetic restoration (probably a long wait). The Santiagos were too cheap to pass up and sound excellent.

The Magnavox amp would be very good indeed on Cornies :-)

EDIT: Is that Sansui tuna a TU-5500? Had one of those for a while (dump find).

Holy crap! That tuna looks brand new. Awesome.
Man, you have some serious speakers. Didn't you also have a pair of VoT at one point?
The K-77's I heard weren't Alnico's. You had the better ones. I'll be playing tunes on the Cornies after I get some K-77's.

No VOTs at my house; just a pair of 846A Valencias (same drivers/horn as an A7 but a smaller BR cabinet). They're in the basement at the moment.

    closedvalencia.jpg

Note that the Sansui was missing a knob. Concealer's is fully intact and looks even nicer overall.
Sansui made some very decent (and a few truly excellent) tunae.

... as long as I am at it, here's the main basement hifi in a really crappy photo. Speakers are Allison Ones (also dump finds). The Philips AF-877 tt was purchased new at Soundscape in Baltimore ca. 1979.

Want to fix mine? :p Part of the tuner section doesn't seem to be working right. It's not a huge deal to me, since the two stations i listen to come in just fine, it's just a little annoying to turn the dial to 94.5 or whatever when i want to listen to 103.3.

But yeah, in terms of cosmetics, mine's about an 8.5/10, maybe slightly higher. I haven't spent much time cleaning it up yet. No scratches that i've noticed, just fingerprints.

I'm always on the lookout for more black face Sansui gear like that, though. I'd love to have my bedroom rig of just that gear.

Some of you may remember my purchase of a vintage Technics Sa-600 receiver back in 2008. I paid a little over 100.00 for it, and it is in MINT condition. I was looking on ebay last night and another sa-600 sold for a whopping 331.00$ !!! Needless to say I am pleased.

But a 1 million candlepower LED is a bit different from a soft green dispersed glow on vintage gear. ;)

If the green lights on my M504 ever go out I may replace them with amber/orange ones! :D Would be cool if you could switch between colors like some car decks can.

The M510 powers up amber, and changes to green once it's ready. Or the other way around, forget which. Either way, it's ballin' outrageous. ;)

Hahah, yeah, i was trying to find a 508 or 510 in hopes that they would have pictures to tell me which color they were when they powered up.

I don't really have the budget for either right now, and i don't think the 504 would be a big enough step up for me to bother, so for the moment, i just drool.

Depending on your definition of vintage.....,
    Dual CS 5000 TT
    Pair of Genesis Physics IIs
    Pair of Genesis Physics 320s
Pair of Polk series 2 M3s.

Had a Technics SA 1010 back in the early 80's, then a Denon AVR 2000.

Glow is cool! I use to have a Yamaha power amp that looked like a friggin' light house with the lights dimmed in the room. It had a very low WAF too. :p
