Did anybody just catch the scene in Modern Family, the new TV show?

It's the scene with husband and wife, hubby is trying to explain to wifey where to point the remote using analogies of body parts to explain it.

Oh my God! Funny...Funny...Funny!

My wife just came in the kitchen and drugg me out to the Liv room Tv, showed this scene on replay and asked if they had been filming us.
I almost pissed myself.:p

Check it out!

Haven't seen tonight's yet, but it's definitely my favorite new comedy this season, and possibly my favorite comedy overall. Absolutely hilarious.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Been watching these new shows too...Not too sure of my take on Modern family yet. It is weird to me seeing Al Bundy looking so old though.

Cougar town I watch but have to admit it depresses me. Probably, because I am approaching their ages now as well.

I think it is great to see the return of sitcoms as I do miss them. There is not one "reality" show that I like/liked so maybe I can enjoy TV again in the near future.

This show is absolutely hilarious; I have been watching it all season. It is seriously one of the best shows I have seen in the last ten years. I was psyched to see that they already picked it up for a 2nd season. My wife and I watch this together and crack up for the whole 1/2 hour.

I saw it once and thought it was funny but I keep forgetting when it is on. I will have the DVR start recording it.

Modern Family is great, have it on recording schedule. Cougar Town seemed interesting too and I put it on the schedule but after giving it a shot for a couple of episodes I canceled it. To be honest, it wasn't that funny and the characters are annoying.

As for Modern Family, although the remote thing hit a home run I'm more like Al Bundy, I mean Ed O'Neill / Jay Pritchett in the show. I don't have a "Modern Family" but I'm married to a Hispanic woman who is 10 years younger than me.

I think there's a bit more than ten years between Ed O'Neil and Sofia Vergara. (26 years in fact... 1946 to 1972) :)

Sure there is but we still share more with them than the sons family. Sofia is about my age so 10 years still is a lot for us. Just like 4 years is a lot if you're 19/15. ;)

It's more about the cultural differences that we make fun of each other though.

Saw it for the first time yesterday - fairly funny. What's the family w/3 kids relationship to the other two?

Ed O'Neil / Al Bundy is the father of the wife in that family.

I like modern family a lot. Its a funny show and Sofia is very easy on the eyes. My wife also thought of our situation during this week's episode. I must say that she does much better using our harmony one as opposed to our thermostat.

You can do a google search and find tons of awesome pictures of Sofia. Here's one I'm partial to:

I watched this past Wednesday's episode and wasn't impressed. I got one chuckle during the show and found the end where they all were singing the "I want to do ya" song" funny.

I'm going to keep watching it to give it a chance. Or maybe I just don't get it.

As far as laugh tracks go, I like them as they serve their purpose. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" doesn't use laugh tracks either and I piss myself laughing watching it.

I really enjoyed last night's episode.
It had me laughing out loud several times.
The "Moon Landing" was so funny, and I always LOVE a good mustache bit.

Then there was Manny's line, "Once an old lady yelled at her at a crosswalk. She honked so long, the horn ran out."

I still don't find it funny.

Got to watch bits and pieces of the last couple of shows and have to agree that they were semi-flat. Oh well. The first one I saw really hit home and had me rolling!

Don't get me wrong I'm still going to watch it to give it a chance.

Funny shows; Seinfeld, Cheers, All in the Family, Curb You Enthusiasm, etc. I realize that most on the list are very old but those are my idea of funny shows.

The show's decent. The only character I find funny is the dad (wife+kids family). Although I watch it only because I have some time to kill...not really, just not feeling up to doing hw at 1am =0
