RM6750 Subwoofer Issue

I bought a RM6750 package last March and due to renovations am just setting them up now. The problem is I cannot get the powered sub to work.
I have a Denon AVR689 receiver and have hooked the sub up to the subwoofer preout with a subwoofer cable and Monster splitter. I have also just tried plugging the subwoofer cable into the left or right RCA jack. The sub gets power as the green light is on, but no sound comes out. I turned the sub on in the receiver, changed the setting to 120khz in the receiver and turned the sub volume up. I checked the fuse and it looks fine, but replaced it just in case and still nothing. When I first plugged it there was some distortion, but nothing since.
Anyone ever have this issue or can help me out?

Is there more than one fuse on this sub?

am not sure about Onkyo, but yami has option to set the sub out option which says send to sub woofer or mains .....just check on that, also you can connect
another source if you have from your dvd and check
