No Power on PSW125

Hello,

I purchased my PSW125 home theatre subwoofer back in Dec 2008. I noticed my home theatre was lacking in bass today and starting looking at the sub. I noticed the sub power light is not turning on. I tried reseating the power cable and moving it to a different power plug and the problem persists.

It appears I have a dead sub. Is there anything I can do to fix it or should I contact Polk Audio support?

Thanks,
D

    Welcome to Club Polk D.

I'd just call Polk CS up that amp has got a 3 year warranty so you're still good. It does sound like its dead to me!

Thank you for your note. Will they request that I send in the entire sub and box or just the amp?

Only way to find out is to call, they may just send you the parts. Mention you are a member of this forum, I think there is a discount, or free shipping. One way or another, they will get you back up and running in no time. That is a great sub, have one myself.

I am currently having the same problem. I realized I was getting no bass while watching a movie and checked the back of my PSW125 to find no green LED (no power). Connecting to a different outlet resulted in the same problem. How did you resolve this issue? Was it the fuse and if so can I replace it myself?

I would recommend contacting Polk Audio CS for plate amp issues. They were very helpful and will walk you through the troubleshooting of your amp.

Same issue here. Sub has been in storage for a year inside original packing. Worked fine when packed for storage, now no power. Will contact CS in the morning to see what they say.
