Hmmm, wonder why no one bid on these LSiFX even at $330 shipped...

Love how he thinks the missing inductor wasn't really necessary since they sound so good. Tweeters have cracks too, he just didn't take pictures of them.

Pretty beat up pair when I was there this afternoon. With stands, too, altho the stands were pretty beat too. They both had a strip of packing tape across the front of the grill, and a note that said "the grills don't come off", which is of course not true, unless they had been glued on or something. Which would not surprise me, given how they looked otherwise.

This was at the goodwill store on the south side, South Circle by Harrison HS. They had a price of $129.99 on them, much more than I would pay for them based on their condition.

    text:
    JBL Frankenspeakers $1600

I have a custom built pair of speakers that were built in the seventies as a marble top bar and were used only when they were entertaining. The guru that built this bar was using the best of the best in it's time. He took 2 Carlson cabs (meatloaf fame) and installed JBL 077 Crystal tweets (original blue diaphrams) and mated them with JBL D130's. Here's where it gets kinky! He used Jensen RP-201 mid range horns from the famous "Imperials" ! He crossed them over with JBL N1200's and N 2400'S! This is a unique bar that will part out on fee pay for more than I'm wanting to sell them for. I separated them and they sound great! Better than my K-horns according to my JBL enthusist friend! I say it's a matter of preference of course. Everthing is minty except one dust cap on the D-130's has a dent from my damned cat headbutting it trying to climb into the cabinet! Want blast from the past hyper-effecient speakers that will sound ultra clear at low volume? Want "what the hell?" responses from people that see them?Want to have the cops knocking on your door because you turned them up a little? These are the Frankenspeakers you need to be Austin retro-cool. NO? Well, you could aways spend $5000 on a new pair that sound as good but nobody will notice. The cab's were nailed together so they will need some tlc but since I'm an artist, I was thinking about something in a tiger striped wood veneer! I'll do it for a price! Pics for the serious! Wayne PS. Marble top conveys.

    $650 is a bit much

    http://austin.craigslist.org/ele/1709337279.html
Polk RT 16 Floor Standing Speakers (Pair) - $650 (East Austin)

I am selling this pair of Polk Audio RT 16 Floor Speakers. They are in great shape and sound fantastic. I am a pro sound engineer, so I'm not just blowing smoke.
I hate to get rid of these but they are just too big for my room and I need to down size a bit.

There are a few cosmetic blemishes on one of the grilles (noted in the pics) and a few pegs that hold the grille onto the speaker have cracked off, but they still stay put. There is NO damage at all to any of the components or wood. There is a little paint discoloration but nothing super noticeable.

The MSRP was $499 EACH speaker when I bought them. $650 is a great deal. They can be bi-amped as well, but it's not mandatory.
