Looks like something might have gotten spilled on it. If I was gonna ask that kind of money for something for parts I would at least clean it up a bit.

With the grill off, they weren't exactly an attractive speaker to start with, but yeah... for whatever reason, these look particularly bad. Even worse than my AR-2x "Frankenspeaker Editions." And i got those for free. I'd give them away, but i'd feel for the person that would get them. So i keep them. :p The cats like to perch on them.

That's a good idea. You can jam your music out really loud to heat the amps up, then once they get up to operating temperature you can fill them with all the makin's for a nice pot of soup.

Sit down for a few hours of listening, and dinners done! Best of all, you don't even have to leave the room! Just slide your amp stand over to your seating position, and voila!

Keep in mind that you will need a fairly long set of IC's and speaker cables, so that you'll be able to easily slide your amp over to your eating position. That way you won't have to interrupt the tunes to serve dinner up.

Reminds me of a neighbor who has been for 15 years trying to sell a quarter acre lot for $40K. Everything given, the lot is currently worth between $5K - $10K. Since he is holding his price steady, I guess sooner or later inflation will catch up and make the asking price reasonable....

Don't know it that is a good price, but those RT3000Ps rock. I heard them at amulford's house when I bought his RT2000Ps and they are great but I'd like to step-up into the 3000s.

I think he's getting at that the ones for sale.. aren't right or correct.. look at how the tops on the right or "correct" picture are narrower than the bottoms unlike the tops in the "wrong" picture.... is it is a possible frankenpolk or did they make that speaker with two different top widths. it almost looks like two RT55i's put ontop of the Sub portion of the RT 3000P.

yes it matches the picture on the left which is tagged "right", however if you notice the picture on the right which is tagged "wrong", which is also the same pictue in the ad, the top portion is wider than the narrowportion of the "sub" portion, however in the stock photo and the photo tagged "right" the top portion is the same width as the narrow part of the bottom portion.

The one with blue cones are RT55i's stacked on top of the 3000p sub modules.

The top section of the RT3000's were not that wide, and as I recall never came with the blue cones. Only the i series came with the blue cones.

Top cabinet consists of dual 6 1/2in mid range speakers, with a 1in tweeter (RT55). These speakers are not an exact color match, bottom is Rosewood and top is Cherry.
