What brands of interconnects are you using on your system?

AudioQuest Viper. I noticed a difference in the sound when I swapped out cheap interconnect for these immediately. Why do you ask?

EDIT: I see you already saw my AQ listing lol. Why did you ask though?

Just wondered if you had something decent, which you do.

Wow, i live in an apartment so I can't really crank the volume, but all of my neighbors are gone right now so for the first time, I really cranked the LSi7's to some Pink Floyd ,and WOW, these things are awesome. Very open and dynamic, and if I close my eyes it's like the band is right there. The midrange is very impressive, and I must say I love this tweeter! Open, airy extended highs. Soundstaging/ imaging is excellent given what these are being driven by. Never sound strained, even with only receiving 50 wpc and being cranked. They really sing. I'm also impressed with the NAD; you can tell it has the dynamic headroom to give these a punch because the sound is still open and the amp is actually running very cool. I love these speakers, thanks so much to everyone involved and to CP in general! :D

BTW, if anyone wants a song to really make their system shine, "Private Investigations" by Dire Straights is a very well composed acoustic piece. I love this song.

Some of the qualities you are hearing are due to a VERY simple straight forward crossover. I found a beauty in the 7's that the 9's and others didn't augment. Just my opinion, they all sound good.

And beautiful they are. I do agree with the Occam's razor side when it comes to many things audio; the simplest is often the best. The high's on these are also very detailed. I'm absolutely loving these. This is off of CD, too. I just got my Cambridge Audio phono preamp in today, so I can't wait to get the vinyl setup and really enjoy audio bliss :D

I think the 7's are bi-wireable just like the 9's but don't remember for sure. If they are take those CRAPPY wide gold connecting plates off and replace with wire. They are real pieces of crap and should never have been put on the LSi series due to sound issues.

Believe it or not Rat Shack 12 ga stranded copper wire works and sounds really nice when used as jumpers in this case. I used it on my 1.2 TLs before I biwired them with the MITs.

They are bi-wireable, but the jumpers are still there right now. I have my old solid core anti-cables still..should I cut some off and make jumpers? I didn't particularly like the way they sounded when they were my primary cables.

Hmmm I've never heard the anti-cables but have read reviews and some here have owned them and commented on them. I don't know if you want to ruin a pair of perfectly good cables when you can get the RAT Shack wire for a buck or two.

The anti-cables aren't terminated, so i wouldn't ruin them. They're 15 foot runs, and i only need like 5 foot runs lol. Would cheap wire be better than the jumpers? If that's true, makes you wonder why Polk uses them on the LSi line when it seems they put so much thought into everything else to make a gres=at speaker for the money.

I have some crappy 12 gauge monster lying around, plus the anti-cables. Maybe I'll try cutting some of the anti-cable and replacing the jumpers, see if it improves. If not, I can always just put the jumpers back.

Any piece of wire will do better than the supplied jumpers.
