I just bought HK AVR525 - open box. But by mistake they gave me wrong remote from AVR 120. I just find this out. May I still do setup all my system with this remote? Any advise?

You should be able to access all of the features with that remote, but it wouldn't hurt to go back and get the correct remote. :)

Most brands use the same IR codes. The only thing you will loose in the model IR codes that only work for your unit.Like features/surround modes etc.Go back and get the correct remote......or to hell with it and get yourself a Pronto...
