Will these amp plans work?

Hi all: New here, have another thread started and need to move forward with this amp. Sony TA-N9000ES, It came today from Saturday Audio in Chicago, under 400, in two days to bumsquirrel pa.It is heavy-packaged well. Anyhow

I digress-I want to keep 7.1 if possible (and needed). Can I pick and choose which channels are being driven from the amp or avr...ie run the f/r from the amp-center from the amp-rs from the amp and rr from the avr? Does actually connecting the pre-out cancel sound from the AVR? And will it pass through that 7.1 anal. in from my blu ray player to my avr and then to the amp. Or do I bypass the avr and go straight to the amp since the player is decoding the dts master?

Thanks for any input I appreciate it. I know many of you are well WELL beyond my situation. But I thank you for any advice. I have been searching the forum posts alot. What a wealth of information.

What receiver are you trying to use and I will look at the manual for it. It is possible when you select the pre amp function it cuts out the amplifier section. If you can utilize the some of the receiver amps you might consider a BTL set up on the Amp.

My receiver is a pioneer 1017vsx. It has the 7.1 preouts-I do not recall a setting in the menu related to this.
