Ok so it's done. I now have till Feb 4 2010 before they close the case. So If I don't hear from her or like what her resolution will be, I can proceed to the next step on or before that date.

    Purchased 12/22/09
    Paid 12/23/09
    Shipped 12/24/09?
    USPS closed 12/25/09
    USPS closed 1/1/10

It's only been 14 business days as of yesterday 1/14/10.

I've shipped to and received items from Canada that have taken much longer than that.

What color socks was I wearing that day?

It has alot more to do with the fact she is not responding to emails now and can never give specific info.

Any of our previous email were answered right away. I also noticed she is no longer selling anything.

Probably went somewhere warm for a vacation.

Probably a bit premature. I started my claim immediately because the seller was a total tool and I was getting nowhere with him after about two dozen or so e-mails within a couple days. I also gave him fair warning I was going to start a dispute. He responded within the hour to Ebay about the dispute and then Ebay took it's sweet time w/ not a single correspondence from 12-2-09 until 1-11-10. I had to send Ebay (2) emails to get the ball rolling on 1-2-10.

I'm just being cautious, if its in the mail then I will retract my claim and leave + feedback (as this has not yet been done). Like I mentioned the vague answers and the fact that she is no longer responding, is the reason to cover my a$$.
Right now it's not the official claim it's the pre-claim where PP sends her the email and keeps a copy in their DB.

I'd give it at least another week. It will not hurt you in any way. Once it escalates to a full claim they must respond or loose. It's hard but be patient. Customs probably has it.

Again, that's fine; dropping off the face of the earth is where things get skiddish.

Usally pissing up a rope on the dipute. Bought phono preamp and paid for insurance. Arrived broken. Power supply had been run over and coil showing through broken case. Would replace if I shipped back. Sent back got another and was defective. To get another I had to ship it back. I told seller it was insured and shouldn't have to pay all this shipping. Opened dispute and e-pray said I had to send back to get my refund but wouldn't get any of my shipping expences back. So I paid shipping 3 times on a insured product to get my original purchase price back. My feed back read as follows... " If you don't want to become pregnant , don't do biz. with him. " LOL

I had the opposite experience. As much as we all (including myself) **** about e-bay I have had a few issues. 3 were able to be worked out amongst myself (buyer) and the seller all amicably and quickly resolved.

I had 2 instances where I never received the item and in one case Ebay came through with a full refund incl shipping. The other case the buyer refunded very quickly with out a hassle. I had tubes coming from Germany via DHL not sure where they went. UPS "lost" a pair of LSi 7's and the seller was great about filing the claim, following up and then refunding my money.

Most recently I had a very rude seller who sold me some tubes and within an hour one went dead. He was a real d*ck.............calling me names, and other stuff. I filed a claim with Ebay and while it took 6 weeks, I was refunded the entire amount incl shipping as soon as I returned the tubes to the seller. Ebay even paid the return shipping.

Another German seller sold me a lot of rare Valvo tubes and one of the pairs was noisy (the pair I bought the lot for) she refunded 75% of my money no questions asked.

So while I still **** about sellers who seem to always sell defective, broken, not as described merchandise, EBAY has never let me down, nor have some of the great sellers. My most recent Dared amp was damaged in shipping (sellers fault for poor packing) and we were able to work out a partial refund I was happy with. A friend and I ended up doing the repairs to the damaged speaker terminals.

I fully understand the risks involved w/purchases on Ebay and I am willing to take the risk as I never pay alot for the stuff I buy. The cost far outweighs the potential issues. But even I admit there have been quite a few..........but I also have to take into account with used tubes (40-50 yrs old) there are going to be issues sometimes. I've bought a lot of tubes.

I was stupid and bought something expensive from a low feedback seller. I noticed they had closed their account the next day. I assumed the worst and contacted paypal and they froze their account immediately. I got the item a week or two later. Did I over-react? Who cares? If I had waited, I would have had no recourse. Act now.
