I purchased these surrounds a week ago and they "pop" intermittently both while sound is flowing from my AV receiver (Onkyo TX-SR706) and not (receiver turned off even). I've seen forum posts for other speakers referring to this phenomenon as "electrical popping". I don't have any electrical issues that I know of. Any ideas? It can be extremely startling.

Could it be the receiver? Does your other speakers pop?
