A-freakin'-MEN!!! Talk about a flavor explosion. Ever since I moved to Atlanta, I can't find 'em anywhere - which makes me a very sad panda.
On a side note, I normally detest Doritos... but they make a Tacos at Midnight flavor which is stellar.

We are moving from the Cincinnati area and I'm buying a couple boxes (yeah- boxes). Cheap, bad-**** chips.

Yup... Grippos were the chip of choice in Louisville. So I imagine the same goes in Cincy. A staple for every BBQ in the hood.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

seaweed and salt? sounds interesting.. most Americans would never buy such a product though. funny how other countries are ok with seaweed and other interesting flavors though.

Us Americans are lame when it comes to anything unusual.

What's the difference between "salt and pepper" and "sea salt and cracked pepper"?

Also, this isn't exactly a "chip", but one of my all-time favorites is Funions...Those and mustard pretzels.

Hang me for not wanting to put seaweed, or seaweed flavored anything in my mouth.

How about a nice seaweed latte huh? That next?

Sea salt, generally, is f'ing nasty (IMO). The chips I have tasted with sea salt on it haven't been too bad. I really don't understand people who put sea salt on their food, though. I usually only use coarse kosher salt. Not a Jewish thing...just better than straight up table salt IMO.

Seaweed isn't bad...really. No worse than eating cooked spinach.

It's definitely cultural, although if you ever watch that Andrew Zimmer freak on the Travel channel there are certainly things out there that I just will not eat. Seriously, some of it you could try and your gag reflex will kick in and you won't be able to eat it even if you wanted to.

Seaweed is in all sorts of Japanese and Korean cuisine.

What about the Sicilian cheese that has worms in it? You're supposed to eat it worms and all.

Not happening. I'm only 'eating' the worms you can't see with the naked eye.

The seaweed complements the chip perfectly. Ingenious.

Not really. I have voiced my opinion here long ago, that the first schmuck that ever looked at a lobster and said, "I think I'll put that in my mouth" was one stupid MF. Especially if the lobster had other ideas.

Get real AL. If you didn't already know it, which part of that freakin' insect looking thing would YOU figure was good eatin'!
