Glad to see more blu rays coming out in 7.1. I have only heard one other, Rambo, of all things. The effects with the 7.1 were pretty cool. I have a modest space and a 7.1 system. Until I actually heard what a true 7.1 could do I thought that maybe it was too much.

SQ of the music they played was a bit poor.

As for the actual movie. Well............... poor as well.

For those of you that thought this movie is not very good:

    1. You live in an apartment and can't turn up the volume.
    2. You are using a Bose Acoustic Wave radio as your HT.
    3. Your sub is half the size it should be.
    4. Your HT only handles 15w per channel

Get real guys, this movie NEEDS VOLUME. Had my Onkyo 1008 set to -5db for the whole movie. My eleven year old son loved it (well what he got to see and hear before being kicked out of the room.) :-) It's great when the couch moves because of the bass.

    A movie to play in the summer with the windows and doors open at 1:00am to get even with the neighbors! {Hint: Only turn up the volume during the gun fights.}

I was shocked last night. I thought this movie was gonna suck, and it didn't . I really expected it to be a movie filled with 80's era cliche's & one liners.
This flick was good. And it's def. a BD type flick. Gave my 5.3 rig a hell of a work out.

I'm more creeped out by how old Schwarzenegger looks. He still has a good body for someone his age, but compared to Stallone he's let himself go quite a bit.

I've watched this a couple of times now, and the one thing that stands out, (besides I like the movie) is I WANT THAT TRUCK!

my favorite scene was when the black guy (can never remember his name)

    His name is Cheeseburger Eddie.

I loved this movie. If I wasnt broke, I'd buy the blu ray for $13 on amazon.com right now
    http://www.amazon.com/Expendables-Three-Disc-Blu-ray-Combo-Digital/dp/B002ZG99A4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1294031987&sr=8-1&tag=dealswoot-20

And there's a lot of talk about an 'expendables 2'...I sure hope so.

Now that Arnold is no longer the "Governator", maybe he have time to do more than just a cameo?

A better name would have been Dispensable: In the Toilet.

While he was at least passable pre-politics, Arnold's acting was almost as horrible as his governing has been.

There was an episode (forgot the name of the show) on the truck that I saw over the weekend which was made by West Coast Customs for the movie and for Stallone.

They actually made 3 of them.
