    Lets see:

    Mindless violence - check!
The worst A-list actors - check!
    Extremely thin storyline - check!
    Lame one-liners - check!
    cliche action scenes - check!
    Zero budget - check!

I can't believe how bad the trailer is...I'm gonna love this movie! :)
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

Just got back from seeing this. It was entertaining to say the least. Typical cheesy moments and unadulterated gore with very little plot, but I liked it. Definitely would see it again and will probably own it.

I can not say that I was completely blown away by this movie. It had great actors in it but I just did not see them....living up to their full potential. And come on Arnold only being in one scene for 4 minutes...really? You could or actually cut that scene out almost.

I did enjoy it but I would say it was not the most impressive movie I have seen. On top of that, very poor story line not much going on at all.

    I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Took the day off from work, took the boys to see it before school starts later this week. Great action flick!

Somewhat predictable, had some cheesy one-liners, but hey - its a man-flick!

Thought Mickey Rourke had some nice scenes when the movie delved into the 'deep stuff' - nice balance.

One thing I didn't like was the herky-jerky camera motion. Sure, it imparts a sense of action & motion, but hides end to end choreography so you can see the whole scene context.

We all gave it thumbs up.

I saw this one last night, and it was everything I thought it would be. Just seeing Arnold, Stallone and Willis in the same shot made it worth the $10. Chuck Norris was the only missing 80's **** kicker. Overall a great action movie, just leave your girlfriend at home . .

    Two words. Gloriously bad.

Or should that be Goriously bad?

Either way, there was no real plot. What was there was weak and watered down. There was lotsa bad acting. Can it even be considered acting when it's nothing but one liners? There was lots of shooting. Shooting for the sake of shooting. There was lots of blowing stuff up. Blowing stuff up for the sake of blowing stuff up. Lotsa evil henchmen lining up for their turn to get shot, stabbed, slashed, blown up or beat up. Sometimes all at once. I think the best way to describe it is it was movie based on a video game. Well, three video games. It's like they crossed Operation Wolf with Rainbow Six with Unreal Tournament and called it a movie. The only thing it was missing was gratuitous nudity.

In the end, it was campy, cheesy, bloody and seemed to revel in how bad it actually was. I think I enjoyed it.

I watched it on dvd yesterday. It didn't set out to be a great film, as most 80's action movies aren't. It did however, deliver everything it promised to and I loved every single minute of it.

Movie was worth a watch, but when a movie resorts to calling their characters stuff like "Hollywood", etc then ......

BUT: the scenes with the one weapon, the Atchisson AA-12 automatic assault shotgun, with explosive rounds ....... whewwww !

Kind of testosterone-inducing on steroids, IMO, not unlike the scene in "Predator" where half the jungle gets mowed down by the electric Gatling gun.

We're not supposed to discuss guns here, so I'll just post a Youtube link for this particular item:

I second this. This is a good action movie to spend a couple hours on. Mickey Rourke is pretty good in this, too. Will definitely looking for the sequel. Arnold might be in this series big time after getting out of the governor mansion

i absolutely loved this movie. nevermind the notion that the plot was weak. this was just a great overall movie considering the talent that was brought to this movie. especially it being an action movie. all egos aside stallone and company did a great job. i love the picture as well as the sound on the bluray as well. next up knight and day.

It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I saw it in theaters though, and I hate theaters.

Just watched the Expendables last night, and I gotta agree with most everyone - definitely a great movie. I got a few laughs out of it, and my favorite scene was when the black guy (can never remember his name) comes up behind all the bad guys and rapes them with his auto-shotgun.

That thing is a true beast.
